It was in interesting weekend overall in the Scottish Premiership, and while Celtic comfortably cruised to victory against Hearts, the Ibrox side and Barry Ferguson’s antics stole the headlines.
And they will continue to steal the headlines.
You see, Celtic winning trebles has just becoming boring to the Scottish mainstream sports media.
They just want to focus on the soap opera over in Govan.
Which never stops providing content.
They’re desperate for this much talked about US takeover to happen.
But despite all the talk, nothing really seems to be happening, except a lot of talk, of course.
Meanwhile, Barry Ferguson and his crazy, calamity style of haphazard football continues to deliver results.
His style, is in reality, a hybrid version of Philippe Clement’s style of football.
And what I mean by hybrid, is the addition of the off the wall antics of Ferguson to Clement’s failed football strategy.
After witnessing what I did at Dens Park on Saturday night, I came to a conclusion.
I think the only reason the Ibrox side are winning these kinds of games is because the players are shitting themselves at the thoughts of one of Bazza’s frothing at the mouth meltdowns if they lost.

Despite the fact they won that one by the skin of their teeth, I’m sure Bazza still had a meltdown.
There’s a reason Dundee are second from bottom in the Scottish Premiership, and their late capitulation on Saturday is proof positive of that.
Dundee simply did not believe enough in themselves to win that game.
I think it’s fair to say that the Ibrox side didn’t either.
But Bazza’s antics on the touchline drove his fear-ridden side on to victory.
Brendan Rodgers must be looking on at this in a state of bewilderment.
Bewilderment as to how he managed to lose to the Ibrox side on our home patch when the side that is second from bottom scored 3 goals against them, and could have had 4 or 5.
I think Saturday will be the catalyst to Rodgers ensuring we do what we know we’re capable of doing to them at Ibrox next month.
And by that, I mean Rodgers has to know that this side is there for the taking.
The Ferguson bubble is close to bursting.
While the Ibrox side may be scoring more than they’re conceding, they’re still conceding heavily in every game they play.
Since Ferguson took over, they’ve scored 16 and conceded 12.
That’s pretty poor defending by anyone’s standards.
If Ferguson comes up against a manager who knows how to defend against his side, well, then he could be in serious trouble.
Next Saturday, he is facing the team that is one place below his in the league table.
Hibernian are currently on a fantastic run of form, which includes beating us at Easter Road.
Effectively, you could say it’s two rookie managers coming up against eachother.
But one of those rookies has had to learn to adapt, and to adapt fast when it comes to understanding how to manage in the Scottish Premiership.
He didn’t use someone else’s tactics to get himself to where he finds himself now.
He’s had to develop his own and give his side it’s own identity.
An Identity which has taken them from the foot of the table during the early part of the season, to third place since the turn of the year.
David Gray has done an excellent job at Hibs.
Many people would have written him off about 4 months ago.
Now, his side stand to finish 3rd in the league, and could secure European football for next season.
This rookie could cause a problem or two at Ibrox next Saturday.
Ferguson, it appears, has little or no respect for his peers in the Scottish Premiership.
His comments on Vaclav Cerny last week, and his attitude to his predecessor at Ibrox show us that much.
Then again, back in his playing days, the Ibrox side had no respect for anyone in Scottish football.
Learned behaviour, and all that.
In the Record today, his journo buddy and fanboy, Keith Jackson reckons Ferguson is nobody’s fool.
Which is interesting, when you consider what a fool Jackson has been in the past.
The old “Billionaire with wealth off the radar” story will haunt him until he retires, I’m sure.
But with the way things are going with the great Ibrox takeover, he could end up looking even more stupid if this particular story develops no further than the “world exclusive” he broke nearly 2 months ago now.
The clock is ticking on this one.
And the longer it ticks on, the more agitated the SMSM are starting to get.
While all of this soap operatic distraction is going on, Celtic will quietly march on towards another treble.
Daizen Maeda scored his 30th goal of the season on Saturday, with a few more to come from him before this season is out, I’d imagine.

At the rate he’s scoring, you could see him finishing on 40 before the last ball is kicked.
Tying him down on a long-term deal looks like a priority for Celtic now.
A good headache to have, but a headache nonetheless.
That’s just the way it is in Scottish football.
Celtic will continue to win trophies, all while fighting off big bids for top players.
While the Ibrox side will continue to be a soap opera.
Hemorrhaging money, and hoping that their Sugar Daddy comes through for them.
Tick tock, tick tock.
Sugar Daddy?
