“Obviously, R*****s is built on success”. No it isn’t, but Celtic is, the sooner you realise that, the better!

Right, I’m sick and tired of listening to, and reading this constant delusional commentary from everyone and anyone being wheeled out to speak about the Ibrox takeover.
This notion that the Ibrox club is “built on success”.
It’s beyond wearing.
It’s is complete and utter bullshit.
Define success?
I mean come on, really define it for me?
What does success look like at Ibrox?
13 years of racking up tens of millions in debt at Ibrox, with the same amount of trophies secured as St. Johnstone in the same time period?
St. Johnstone achieved the same level of success on a fraction – a miniscule fraction – of the resources used at Ibrox to secure three trophies.
Yet the Ibrox club is built on success?
Don’t even get me started on the dead club, and how they ran themselves into the grave.
Diving into the grave on success, I suppose you could call it.
This notion that that club was built on success is utterly delusional.
Complete fantasy.
The definition of success at Ibrox is the killing of the old club.
While industrially cheating their way to success for over a decade.
Followed by the new Frankenstein club trying to do the same through financial doping and achieving the square root of f*** all in the process.
Yet, practically every second day since the takeover was announced, we’re treated to Ibrox affiliated goons telling us that club was built on success.
Wake the f*** up!
Your club is a walking disaster area.
Such a walking disaster area, that it had to be bailed out by an American consortium.
Now, the same delusionalists who think that club was built on success, think the new owners are going to plough tens of millions into the club.
Today is no different.
In the Record this morning, we have Stuart Dallas, former Leeds United and Nothern Ireland full-back – and self confessed Ibrox fanatic – telling us how his favourite club was built on success.
Dallas would have been 22 when Rangers 1872 success-dived themselves into the grave.
He would have been 9 when Celtic began their 21st century era of dominance.
Yet he’s telling Paraag Marathe that the club his employers has just bought a “minority shareholding” in was “built on success”?
Dallas is also saying that Leeds are a very well run club.
I suppose if £70 million in annual losses constitutes well run, then I can see how he’d think the Ibrox club was built on success.
As a Celtic supporter, it gets tiring to have to listen to the same “built on success” narrative about the Ibrox club week in, week out.
Especially when I know inside out what kind of shitshow Ibrox is.
Yes, that might change in the coming months and years under the new ownership.
But when you have a completely delusional support barking in your ear about their divine right to success?
Well, then it becomes a uphill battle.
They do not have a divine right to success.
Celtic does not have a divine right to success either, but yes, everything we do is built on success.
Success that we have earned through proper fiscal management and everything that stems from that.
We have earned everything we have won throughout the 21st century.
And we have earned the right to be the most successful club in Scottish football history.
Because we have never cheated, and we saved our club when it came close to going bankrupt.
But we didn’t stand idly by and watch it die.
Nor did we then try to claim the new entity which rose from the grave of the old club, was the same club.
And we didn’t have the audacity to claim the trophies of a dead institute.
But hey, that’s the definition of built on success these days.
Thankfully these days, those of an Ibrox persuasion haven’t got a clue what constitutes being built on success.
But soon enough, they might understand what it takes.
They might understand that it took us over 30 years to get to where we are today.
However, as I pointed out in yesterday’s article, time is only something Ibrox fans see on a watch.
It’s certainly not something they give to anyone – board or management – at that club.
They don’t understand that to build success, it takes time.
It isn’t a divine right.
And it’s for that very reason they’ll never be as successful as we are.
Because they simply do not have the patience to allow anyone the time to build anything over there.
What exists at Ibrox today was NOT built on success.
It was built on the generousity of a handful of men who ploughed their own millions into the club.
For the love of the club.
Those guys are gone now.
The new regime have no emotional ties to the Ibrox club.
And if they want to build success there, they’d better bed in for the long haul.
Maybe 30 years down the line they’ll be able to properly compete with us?
What the hell am I thinking?
They’ll probably be run out of town in less than five years for having the audacity to try to build something sustainable!
Sustainable?
Profitable?
How dare they?!
The Bunnet came in saved us the rest is History. Them over other side of City don’t have a History. So it’s all smoke & mirrors built on lies they tell themselves.
It’s the usual pish from the usual morons. Half the people commenting on it wouldn’t know the meaning of the word success.
I am not dismissing the takeover but seriously, what do we know about it so far in terms of investment, very little to be honest. Things will become clearer in the fulness of time, let them have as many of the pre season trophies they want. It will be like this for some time but they’ll pipe down after a pumping in the first Glasgow Derby HH ☘️
Here’s me thinking that ‘ success ‘in Scottish football is when a team wins the league or domestic silverware in an honest , lawful ,legal , ethical , legitimate manner …. competing with strict adherence to the rules of the game ? By the book ! Not the old bent practice of ‘ Buster Keaton ! ‘ What does it say about our game and our governing bodies here in wee Scawlin’ when a clumpany is known to have broken the rules of FFP on a multitude of times and occasions alongside tax non payments and other violations of the rules of the game , yet the head blazer in the SFA ( Smudger ) , denies all knowledge of the said corruption , by impersonating the Ostrich with his head buried in the deep sand ? Can you imagine the outcry from the SMSM and all other platforms , and the governing bodies, if the fraud was done by Aberdeen , or Hearts , or Celtic or Hibs or any other top division club other than you know who ? They would demand at least a pound of flesh and several pints of blood …not to mention the denigration and damnation at every opportunity of the nefarious club ….forever ?
If we discount all those titles and cups won from 2000 onwards that the real Huns won due to criminal activity, both Ibrox clubs have the same amount of trophies as St Johnstone.
Hail Hail.
They only have the orange bigot walks to cheer them up these days.
huns still haven’t realised that the new regime are doing exactly what Ashley got hunted for, and soon it won’t matter as they’ll have already sold their ‘souls’ to american business ethics.
