David Murray is out for vindication.
He is on a crusade to clear his name when it comes to the demise and death of his old club.
In a new autobiography, he is pointing fingers here, there and everywhere.
He wants to make it clear that there was a conspiracy to bury his club, and that he had nothing to do with it’s death.
We know different.
I could start with David Murray’s EBT scheme, but that’s a story for another day.
Today, I want to focus on the fact that he is accusing our former CEO and current chairman of being the main man who wanted to bury his club.
It is complete and utter bollocks.
It is a well known fact that Peter Lawwell lamented the death of Rangers 1872.
He lamented it to a level where he almost cried at the thoughts of losing vast amounts of revenue as a result of it.
He is on record stating the amount the club stood to lose to Phil Mac back in the summer of 2012.
Murray has conveniently chosen to ignore all of this.

Further to that, he has chosen to ignore the fact that Peter Lawwell lied and obfuscated when it came to Resolution 12.
When he asked for a smoking gun to go after the illegitimately won trophies the dead club amassed during the EBT era, he chose to ignore it when it was presented to him.
Does this sound like a guy who wanted to bury Rangers 1872 to you?
In fact, I’d go so far as to say that he would have done anything to resurrect Rangers 1872 in the aftermath of that club’s death.
I also know why Peter Lawwell was beside himself with grief at the death of a beloved commercial partner.
The demise of O** F*** Inc. still rankles with him today.
And he is part of a small cabal at Celtic who want to keep that brand name alive.
What doesn’t surprise me at all in Murray’s reveal all biography, is the fact that Peter Lawwell attended Ibrox as a guest of Murray’s.
Lawwell claims he is a lifelong Celtic fan.
So I’ll be kind and say that he went to Ibrox on a spying mission.
To sow the seeds of burying that club, if of course, Murray is to be believed.
In reality, to say that Peter Lawwell wanted to bury Rangers 1872 is like saying he has no influence over anything that goes on at Celtic today.
And that in reality, all he does is hand out the tea and biscuits at board meetings.
Those of us who are long enough in this game know that is manifestly untrue.
Murray might fool all of the peepul, some of the time.
But he’s fooling none of the people involved in Celtic.
Especially the Celtic bloggers, who proved categorically that Murray brought about the demise of his club all by himself.
The day that he said for every fiver we spent, they would spend a tenner?
Well, that was the day he picked up his shovel and began digging that club’s grave.
That boast, and the necessity to live up to it, led to everything that followed thereafter.

Murray didn’t need any assistance whatsoever from Peter Lawwell to bury his club.
And even if he did, Peter Lawwell would have offered none.
Instead, he would have most likely looked at ways to better commercialise the O** F*** brand.
In this morning’s Record, Andrew Newport was more than happy to give Murray the airtime he required to lay all of it on Peter Lawwell’s doorstep.
Here’s some of what he had to say:
One of my companies GM Mining did business with Scottish Coal where Peter worked and I once invited him and his wife to Ibrox for a game.
He was delighted to accept and back then was good company, but by the time he rose to become chief executive of Celtic he was on a completely different trajectory.
For nearly two decades he tried to build up a seat of power and I honestly believe that by the end of his time at the club he was wielding far too much influence in Scottish football. At one point, after I sold Rangers (1872), it seemed he was positively revelling in the demise of the club.
He held sway on committees through friends and always used the strength of his power base when he thought it was necessary.
Of course he had a job to do for his club – and no one could argue he did it well for much of his tenure – but with very few influential or credible figures working to Rangers’ (1872) benefit, he became a pivotal figure in trying to grind them down and make them suffer.
To me, it seemed the mantra was always, ‘Let’s bury Rangers (1872)’.
So there you have it.
The unseen Fenian hand revealed in all it’s glory.
Murray is right about one thing though, Lawwell does wield too much power in Scottish football.
And too much power at Celtic.
It’s just a shame he never used that power to do the right thing when it came to Resolution 12.
The fact that he didn’t proves that Murray’s accusations are unfounded.
If Peter Lawwell wanted to bury Rangers 1872, and I mean really bury them, then he would have gone after every tainted title they won during the EBT era.
He would have been singing from the rooftops that he was going to ensure justice was done.
Because the reality is that is justice has never been done.
An era of industrial cheating in the Scottish game was permitted to be swept under the rug.
The Ibrox club got to keep the trophies that were won – when in some cases – Rangers 1872 fielded 11 improperly registered players on the field of play.
Peter Lawwell lied and stated he knew nothing about the poisonous Five way agreement.
Despite it being common knowledge that an email relating to it was sent directly to him.
As a result, he is a facilitator of the survival lie.
I could go on, and on here.
But I’d just be raking over coals that I’ve raked over many times before.
All of the above is proof positive that Peter Lawwell had no wish to bury Rangers 1872.

The death of a precious commercial partner massively aggrieved him.
David Murray, a man of hubris – and an egotist to boot – cannot come to terms with the fact he buried his own club.
So therefore he has to blame everyone, and anyone.
But to blame Peter Lawwell?
Of all people?
Well, that just shows what fools he thinks we are.
Then again, we’re not his target audience.
He knows that.
Those that are his target audience will fall for it, hook, line and sinker.
They will only be too delighted to blame it all on Peter Lawwell.
But you can rest assured his autobiography will be taken asunder and debunked by each and everyone of us Celtic bloggers.
Because we can smell bullshit a mile away.
And this?
It stinks to high heaven!
I am not a fan of Peter Lawwell. He is a devotee of The O** F*** Brand. He facilitated and structured a deal that has ensured he and the Irish Billionaire have both made millions out of Celtic and, contrary to Fergus McCanns intentions and wishes, Celtic is now in the ownership of one man and managed by his Disciple and his Disciples Mini Me and their sole operating intention is to maximise the owners ROI and their inflated incomes and bonuses. I agree with all of the points you make however, as one who knows, Peter Lawwell and his family are all Die Hard Committed Celtic Supporters and always have been. 👍
Well said Eric! Hail Hail.
Are you saying that with a straight face Eddie? Ffs man wind your neck in, committed, die hard celtic supporters don’t go the that fucking cesspit to watch them play unless it us playing them, or is that you silent Mike lurking on read celtic?🤔
Eric,
My current occupation centres around Propaganda, a convenient tool used extensively by right-wing fanatics in the USA, both Government and Sport alike. Scottish media appears to soak it up, ready to catapult America spoofers into a cloud of superiority, just as they do to cover the vile exploits of Ibrox’s past. For me Propaganda is a dance, not as popular as the Samba or the Rumba, but popular with the likes of D Trump and his sidekick, P Hegseth, joined by Scottish media, with severely restricted mind and hip movement, dancing to their tune. Medical Laboratories throughout the world have failed to find a cure for this disability, it’s called ‘Moronic Obsessive Disorder’ – ‘Morobdis’ for short and it has become widespread. Fortunately the antidote for this disease is called ‘Common Sense’ and we at Celtic’s fanbase command a wealth of it, and in particular by the ‘Trinity Tims’. Slainte

Peter Lawwell lamented to Phil MacG on the steps of Hampden the day Rangers died “We’ve lost £5 million a year because of this.’
When any sane financial man would be doing cartwheels of delight knowing that Celtic were now GUARANTEED the (minimum) £30 million a year from the Champions League.
And Lawwell can’t even attempt to sue Murray for his public defamation of him in the papers today due to Lawwell’s complicity in the corrupt 5 Way Agreement, which will be dangled over his head like the sword of Damocles for eternity, the conniving parasitical oaf that he is.
I’m afraid Murray has definitely lost the plot ! He claims that Alistair ( super swally) , would have gone on to ‘ great things ‘as a football coach , if the old theRangers had stayed alive ! That’s like saying Charlie Adam would be a fantastic car driver…if he wasn’t fond of the old ‘ liquid lunches ? ‘ I feel for the trees , myself ….

“Hi Joe was wondering if Leeds have been moved to Deleware
Editor: (Joe McHugh) Leeds are still registered at Companies House, as will RIFC but they are owned 100% by 49ers Enterprises who are indeed registered in Delaware. The majority shareholders in RIFC are Rangers LLC, registered in Delaware.’
So, the 49ers DO own Sevco!
Despite the odious James Forrest’s absolute screaming for weeks that they do not!
I must ask, how can three men who not only talk together every week but hold an actual podcast can have three such different sources of information regarding who is really in charge of this Sevco takeover?
Therefore I must ask you once again, Eric, are the 49ers now 100% in charge of Sevco as Joe unequivocally states above, proving you & the despicable Forrest wrong, or is Joe himself wrong and the only contact with the 49ers is Paraag Marathe, chairman at Leeds and vice chair at Sevco?
Please settle this long running debate once and for all.
Thank you.
Ok Michael, here’s my estimation of 49ers Enterprises. They are the investment arm of the 49ers. There are many investors involved in 49ers Enterprises. As we’ve been told in the run up to this takeover, there are at least 100 investors involved in the Ibrox takeover. These investors obviously fall under the 49ers Enterprises umbrella, but they are all individuals who have invested in the Ibrox side. Read last night’s article, and you will see ‘Sugar Daddy’ Andrew Cavenagh’s net worth does not amount to a whole pile. He and Marathe are the face of this consortium, but they collectively raised the capital amongst the 100 or so involved. Marathe represents the 49ers, and as outlined before, their investment is minor. To simplify, Jed York has not put up the £100 million to buy the club, a group of 100 investors have. Let’s simplify that further, and say that each of them put a million of their own money into this venture. Each of those individuals will expect a return on their investment once Cavenagh and Marathe make the Ibrox side a profitable business. Jed York himself may have invested, but it probably doesn’t amount to much in the broader scheme of things. So yes, in answer to your question, 49ers Enterprises, the investment arm of the SF 49ers, which comprises the 100 or so investors, does now own the Ibrox side. But the SF 49ers themselves do not.
The rangers are dead, Murray killed them and ran up a billion in debt and still walked away with his own wealth untouched , so anything he says is the words of a bankrupt without any guilt as it’s always someone else that ends up paying , so he can put away his hard neck and try and fool the gullible on deludemol they’ll buy it but there isn’t anyone else who will
So the 49ers do own Sevco, despite the grotesquery James Forrest conjured for months by denying that fact.
That was all I wanted to know.
Thanks again.
Did James forrest ride your missus or something Michael? A lot of venom in that post just to find out who owns the sevco?
Liam, James Forrest sends insulting abusive emails to any of his readers who dare disagree with him.
If you’d been on the receiving end of his filthy narcissistic mind you’d understand.
Meantime, if you don’t know what you’re talking about it’s best to keep your trap zipped.
And I would hardly say calling an odious despicable individual an odious despicable individual is not in any way venomous, it is simply the truth.
And that self obsessed disgrace of a man is indeed an odious despicable individual for sending the old age pensioners of his readership such outrageously despicable emails simply for disagreeing with him.
Michael, you’re just making an arse of yourself.
49ers Enterprises separate from the main 49er Company have put together a Consortium of approx 100 different investors, which includes a small investment by the parent Company The 49ers.
The Consortium have purchased 51% of the shares. The vote at the Ibrox EGM has conferred the Majority 51% shareholding with total effective control of the Ibrox outfit. Therefore, The 49ers own a pro rata share of the 51% shareholding of the Company.
For clarity they do not own the Ibrox outfit. The Consortium own 51% of the Ibrox outfit. The 49ers own a share of the Consortiums’s holding. Clear now.
Stop digging.

This is a classic case of Care In The Community not being sufficient and hospital care being urgently required.
Liam, Eddy McKelvie IS saying this with a straight face.
To my personal knowledge PL and his Family are dyed in the wool Celtic fans.
Going by Eddies family name I’m guessing that he was a contemporary of PL and my brothers at the same Secondary school.
Lawwell’s relationship with Celtic has been shaped by his professional association with the Club to the extent that actions taken for sound ‘business’ reasons don’t always appear in accord with the desires of the rank and file of the Support.
I’m no fan of the man as a businessman, I just wish that when he took his ‘sabbatical’ after the 10IAR farce, for which he was largely to blame (Covid was just the catalyst for the self implosion of the conditions he had manufactured), he should have stayed away.
Expecting us to now believe that he has no direct influence on the day to day running of the Club is offensive and portrays contempt for the fans and small shareholders of the Club.
Over a 20 year period he moulded the Corporate Structure of the Club in his own image. He appointed or promoted all the Senior Officers at the Club. As long as he has even the most tenuous of links to the Club he will have influence on the direction the Club takes in the future, on the strategies it employs and the decisions the placeholders on the Board make. Invisible / Silent Mike is no accident. It was a choice decided on by Lawwell and the Board.
The 49ers own Sevco, whether it’s their enterprise arm or not.
That’s all I needed to know.
Chris, I think you’re the one that needs professional help here, pal, as you seem to have built up a bit of an obsession around me.
Nadir, you make an arse of yourself every single day on every single Celtic blog by kidding yourself on that you’re a writer when all you’re doing is reiterating what James Forrest told you, possibly while spanking your arse for you, toady.
You have no idea how much of an embarrassment you are to the Celtic support, you and yer four pensions.
‘Forrest’s parrot’ we call you down our local and many a laugh’s been had at your copycat expense on a daily basis.
Go on, Nadir, repeat Forrest’s assertions in your flowery language again, one more time for the Bhoys!
What do you call me in the local Michael???
‘ The 49ers already own a Premier League club and now hold an interest in a Scottish one. ’
That is a direct quote from James Forrest in his latest article ‘ Empty seats at the World Club Cup shows up the Ibrox fantasy.’
Therefore destroying his weeks of deranged insistence that ‘the 49ers have nothing to do with this deal.’ (sic).
In fact, there’s a great clip of Forrest on the verge of bursting his girdle and foaming at the mouth absolutely insisting that ‘the 49ers have nothing to do with this takeover.’ (sic).
Now here he is admitting that the 49ers won 100% of Sevco …
Yet you clowns think I have mental health problems … 😂
And don’t bother, Eric, I won’t be back having found exactly what I wanted, that the 49ers own Sevco.
Ciao, bellends! 😁
Ah, but surely you’ll be back to read my blogs?
Eric asks ‘What do you call me in the local, Michael?’
Why, we call you ‘Eric’.
What else do you have in mind?
‘ Ah, but surely you’ll be back to read my blogs?’
We’ll see.
I’ve no gripe with you Michael. You’re the furthest thing from a Silent Mike. But I’m slightly confused as to what I did out of the way to you? I’ve been nothing but honest in answering any questions you’ve put to me. My blog is all about free speech, but you’ve decided to abandon this bastion of free speech. I’m confused🤔
Turned into a right rammy on this page tonight.Think we are all becoming stir crazy as the close season drags on.Im away back to Glasto.Forgot what I was gonna say anyway.
I have no problem with you whatsoever, Eric, and I’ve expressed my thanks for each of your replies since this conversation began a fortnight ago re whether the 49ers were leading the deal or not.
However, it’s not very nice to have halfwits declaring you ‘a mental health case’ so it’s inevitable I would respond to that in kind.
Chris, in particular, really ought to indulge in some self reflection though Forrest’s parrot, aka the Nadir of ‘Chiftiness’ (?) should do likewise, as he seems to be labouring under the impression that he is some sort of ‘voice of authority’ (sic) across the Celtic blogs and, worse, thinks he can just butt into any conversation and ‘make it right’ with his untold wisdom, the old fool.
So no worries between you & I, my friend, but you do have some readers who clearly need watching, at least for their own sakes.
Perhaps I will write back again soon after all.
Thanks again, Eric, have a good weekend.
HH, Michael.
And Nadir, since you’re likely lurking in a glowering simmering rage, could you kindly tell us what ‘Chiftiness’ means as I can find no such word in the English language?
Is it perhaps that you’re such a ‘great writer’ that you just make up words on your own then pass them off as ‘real’ to the great unwashed?
Let us know in the comments, there’s a good chap.
