As we all know, and could certainly see in the last few days, Celtic has a fantastic ability to unearth players, bring them in at a low cost and sell them on for big money.
Nicolas Kuhn is once again proof of that.
Some of these players fall by the wayside, and others go on to even greater things.
I’m not sure if Nicolas Kuhn will, but there is one player who came to Celtic who we knew from day one was always going to be destined for great things.
Virgil van Dijk, if not already, may well go down as one of the greatest players to have ever played for Celtic.
Although his top form didn’t come during his time at Parkhead, with Southampton and Liverpool having since enjoyed some of his finest hours, the Dutchman was imperious in the green and white.
Van Dijk is one of the world’s most decorated footballers and he owes plenty to Celtic for helping him showcase his talents and hone his skills even further.
