So, I’ve been off the grid for a few days, and have only had limited access to the online Celtic world.
A digital detox in the country, where there was zero internet reception.
Sometimes, thats a good thing.
I went away on Friday thinking to myself that surely by Monday, we’ll start to see some real movement in the transfer market?
After diving back into Celtic cyberspace this morning, I have one overriding feeling.
Rage.
The Jakob Breum story was enough to switch me from serene calm, to white hot rage.
Enough of this shit, Celtic.
Either act like a serious club or face the consequences.
And the consequences of the board’s criminal inaction thus far could result in no Champions League participation and a serious challenge from across the city.
One has to ask the question, is this actually what they want?
Because none of it makes sense.
None of it.
Slowly but surely, Celtic fans are starting to come awake.
They’re starting to realise that something is rotten inside the walls of Celtic Park.
Even the happy clappers have to be asking questions at this point.
Because if you are a real Celtic fan, you can no longer defend the indefensible.
Everybody sees what is happening.
If you can’t, then your either blind, or you’re stupid.
You choose.
Our board are literally farting around like old farts in the transfer window.
Putting in embarrassing bids for players, only to ‘shockingly’ have them turned down, and the clubs they’re negotiating with jacking up the asking price, because let’s be honest, what else would you expect them to do?
If you insult a football club with a lowball offer for a player, then out of irritation, that club is just going to hike up the asking price of their asset.
All of this messing around is getting Celtic no where.
We still only have 4 wingers.
One is 34 years old, and another will undoubtedly be used as a striker at various points throughout the season.
If a large bid comes in for him, you can pretty much guarantee he’ll be sold.
And if that happens, considering the pathetic level of action in the transfer window to date, fans are really going to lose the plot.
This board is now actively playing with fire when it comes to the fanbase, and the footballing operation.
They are completely disengaged from reality.
They seem to think that ignoring the wishes of the fanbase, and the manager, is absolutely fine.
Clearly they believe that we, the fans, have no skin in the game.
That nothing we do or say will stop them from behaving the way they do.
Which is an insult to the fanbase of the club, and an insult to a manager who only wants the best for the club.
We act like we are paupers with the derisory bids we put on the table for players.
Offering £1.5 million to Go Ahead Eagles for Jakob Breum was farcical.
Following it up with the magical default setting bid of £3 million proved they are clearly in no way serious about strengthening our squad.
Go Ahead Eagles want £6.5 million for the Danish Under 21 international.
Celtic haven’t even met them half way.
It really is ridiculous behaviour.
Because all this messing around results in clubs digging their heels in, and we’re not closer to strengthening our wing options.
This is almost a carbon copy of the behaviour last year when it came to Adam Idah.
We saw the end result of that.
Fans who continue to give Idah a hard time about his price tag need to sit up and take notice of what’s going on right now.
If you can’t see why the board ended up paying £9 million for Adam Idah, then I’d suggest you watch what’s currently unfolding between us and Go Ahead Eagles.
You have to wonder if the board are actively trying to sabotage the season ahead?
Because what else can you call this?
They are not acting in the best interests of the club.
And by behaving the way they are, they’re categorically proving that they’re not fit for purpose.
We are a cash rich club with zero ambition.
But the ambition of the board, or lack thereof, does not reflect the ambition of the manager, nor does it reflect the ambition of the majority of the fanbase.
Most fans are getting heartily sick of this.
The constant social media bombardment when it comes to Adidas apparel is now driving fans to distraction.
Its almost as if they’re demanding our money, but refuse to give us a satisfactory product in return for our loyalty and our hard earned cash.
The product and what we follow, is the football team.
We pay our money to see them play.
We are not paying to fill the club’s coffers and ensure there is a burgeoning bank balance.
Considering what we pay and how much revenue we generate, we expect that the product on the field of play reflects that.
It is clearly evident it does not.
Unless there is huge movement in this transfer window before it’s conclusion, which is highly unlikely given the current state of play, then we can only assume we are being absolutely ripped off by this board.
There is only so much people can take of this shit before they get totally sick of it.
The tide is starting to turn.
The happy clappers are clapping a bit less.
The fanbase is now behind the manager.
Because he and his backroom team seem to be the only professionals within the walls of Celtic Park.
He is not going to walk.
He will see out his contract.
But we cannot expect him to hang around any longer than that based on what we’re seeing at the moment.
Why would he?
These charlatans are proving to everyone what they’re about.
They are incapable of running this club as a football club.
Experts at building a bank balance.
Clueless when it comes to providing the manager with what he needs to remain competitive.
Celtic Football Club is not a financial institution.
It is a football club, first and foremost.
Certain people would do well to recognise that fact.
However, its blatantly clear they don’t.
This next season could prove very uncomfortable for them.
If ever there was a time for change at Celtic, the time is now.
This way of operating is utterly broken, dated, and achieves nothing but to systematically weaken our football club on the field of play.
It is no longer sustainable, and its time it came to an end.
The fanbase should now be calling for that if they really care about this club.
And I know they do.
Pretty soon I think the board will too.
They have one month to prove they can deliver the manager’s needs to him.
I don’t see that happening.

Back in the day when guys used to help out the ground staff we were told a story that There was an agreement between both Teams that no team was to do 10 in a row, if you were to do some digging you’ll wonder why it hasn’t been done .
Celtic are a nearing the halfway point and PL appears to be putting the brakes on the Celtic bus hoping that other mob narrow the gap. PL is only interested in the balance sheet and imo there appears to be to many Masons in positions that matter at our great club .
We need someone to come in with an offer to buy Desmonds share. Someone with the club at heart and not just a passing interest, to come in and clear out the dreck that sits on the board. They are not fit for purpose. For every big signing sold there’s no reason not to bring in a replacement at half the price. We also need to get the youth academy properly invested in. This lot have no interest though. Only interest is how much profit they can make to boost their bonus
The parasites that occupy the Boardroom have left us in a position, one week from the beginning of the season, where we are woefully short of the following:
CB – starting (x2) CCV is an injury waiting to happen
LB – backup (assuming BR doesn’t trust Inamura enough yet)
CDM – starting
RW – starting & backup
LW – backup (either permanent or, more than likely, loan with OTB) and assumes we won’t see much of Jota for most of this season
CF – starting
Don’t worry though the bank balance is still about £100M.
You would have to ask then why the Board are hoarding the cash. Waiting on a takeover? Share buyout? One thing we can be sure about is that BR won’t see any of that money spent on the team.
Bargain basement buys, lowballing, freebies, severe gaps in quality all over the squad. That is the legacy this Board of Zeroes will leave behind.

Celtic is by all intents a Private Company as was under the Kelly’s and the Whites. Celtics current loyal customers can see that it’s 2019 all over again. Projects galore for buttons and loan signings with no buying clause. All good pointers as to Brendan being not too subtly shown off the premises. Peter, back in complete control with his Lee Harvey Oswald Mute Mike as a Human Shield, and still smarting from his Dynasty floundering, will have Brendan away if not in body certainly in spirit before the clocks go back and denying him any funds or quality signings helps achieve that in double quick time and has the bonus of turning a section of supporters against him. Same mob who weren’t pleased he can back and didn’t understand the intolerable untenable situation in which he left. Dermot Desmond, the only Billionaire in the world to make money from owning a football club (whilst not even being the actual owner!) will happily take his Eternal Dividends!! 💵💷💶 And Celtic will appoint a suitably Scottish Yes Man ( JK?) who will take what he’s given and be happy about it. Been far too much stress and turbulence and pressure on the biscuit tin from these Johnny Foreigners! If the dithering continues from ‘ the greys ‘ in their suits for much longer , it won’t just be Brendan Rodgers who will be ‘ Joe the Toff ‘ at his earliest convenience ! I can think of other senior players who will have the same attitude as the boss ? Why would you want to be associated with a club whose board’s attitude to spending money on highly needed players is bottom of the ‘ in tray ‘ every single window ? The board have taken it too far this time, and really exposed what they are, money grabbing accountants, lets hope all fans now come together and really campaign for major change, this cannot go on
Yes feeling depressed like many fellow fans. The Board play on us being faithful through & through. What can we as fans do to force change? I’m resigned to Brendan being off at end of coming season & fearful of no CL football this season. Also the unthinkable prospect of the forces of darkness getting their act together.

Season tickets all sold, fans still buying merchandise so you are saying the tide is turning explain why ? Did you take a piece of this blog from one of the trinity Tim’s ie James Forrest and explain what the fans can do after all the above complete. Brendan has really been let down and surely double D after begging him to come back should be backing him to the hilt as he is the ONLY one that can change it all.
Clearly again and again, the celtic board are in no rush to sign players, silly bids for players is embarrassing for a club of our nature, get out there and spend some hard cash which thousands of supporters have put in to the club not your pockets, a striker is needed badly, a central defender,needed, a central midfielder needed, a winger needed, support the manager, as fellow comments made earlier he will be gone after this season if not b4, if it’s 25/30 million for the positions needed, get it done quickly, this celtic support are faithful through and through, but it’s slowly getting to them, so money men get your money out.

Supported celtic from 1967 when I was seven . First game at pittodrie 1970 . I’ve watched it all hated the Murray cheating years not realising we were being cheated at the time . Season ticket since stadium rebuild . Survived the macari years . Reading all the posts wondering if we have been spoilt the last 10 years . Friends on our bus have never seen a poor Celtic apart from throwing away the 10 in a row . I met lawell and directors over in Aalborg on a European venture . I found the ones I met all Celtic diehards . We are living in times where footballers are payed exorbitant wages along with agents . It’s not so simple to sign a top player anymore, It’s not just the fee it’s also the wages . We are trying to get great players that fit into our wage structure not an easy job . I can understand everyone’s frustrations and I do hope we sign a couple of gems before the window closes , we still have a good team and manager who I will support with all my heart and energy . Ok, so please tell me your vision as far a real change is concerned. Fans get furious and what? We need to lose the title or even more than one for them to feel enough pressure in order to do anything about it.
Fans aren’t going to make Celtic Park empty or even half empty. They are going to pay money nonetheless. They are going to make money through players sale. Maeda, CCV, Johnston, Engels. How can a change be made to change the grounds the club operates on?
A bhoycott of the club would only harm the team. A bhoycott of everything else-merchandise, match-day spending-would impact the bonuses of the PLC mob.

Get rid of the lot of them. Bring in people committed to helping the club progress at every level.
Fund additional coaches and staff across the teams, including psychologists, dieticians, set piece specialists, etc., And give BR a great transfer pot every 2nd season. (£50million?) I know we couldn’t do that every year but his skill is developing players too. Just get it sorted.

When Peter Lawwel said we need a strong Rangers I became a fan and not a supporter I’m still interested in every result But you will never catch me sitting in the wind and rain watching them play with a pie that was put in the oven the day before and cost’s twice as much as Greggs A all to let the club that went bankrupt catch up with us because that’s what PL the accountant wants..
