Lethargy and apathy pervade the walls of Celtic Park, the question now is, where does it end?

So, it’s transfer deadline day, and I don’t think that there’s a Celtic fan out there who is in any way excited about how this day is going to end.
Realistically, after the way the board has asset stripped our team, all we’re trying to do today is plug the holes they’ve created.
It is highly unlikely that we will exit this transfer window stronger than we entered it.
As I’ve stated for a while now, Celtic as a club seems to be in the midst of a malaise it cannot seem to shake off.
Lethargy and apathy grip the club, both inside and out.
Fans are mentally drained from the week we’ve just witnessed, but can see no end in sight to the current downward trajectory the club is on.
As a result, this has sapped the energy out of us.
Not only has it sapped the energy out of us, it has sapped it from the playing squad too.
The fact that we could not breach the defence of a team that conceded 9 goals in it’s previous two games speaks volumes about where we find ourselves at the moment.
Yesterday was without doubt one of the worst Glasgow Derbies I’ve ever witnessed in my time as a Celtic supporter.
That is testament to where the two Glasgow clubs now find themselves.
One is in complete disarray, while the other, which was flying high this time a year ago, has been dragged down to the same level as the one that cannot get it’s shit together.
This has been overseen by our board, who might just have realised what they’ve done, and they’re now scrambling around on the last day of the window trying to fix all the problems of their creation.
Their pursuit of Kaspar Dolberg is now under jeopardy, as Ajax have now also declared interest in the Danish international.
And believe me, Ajax won’t be afraid to meet the asking price for the player if it comes down to a head to head between both clubs.
The other player that we’ve been pursuing, Sebastian Tounekti?
Well, his club Hammarby, don’t want to sell him, and it appears as though Celtic have offered £5.5 million up to this point.
This is what happens around deadline day.
Desperation starts creeping in.
Hammarby will keep saying that they don’t want to sell Tounekti, until they’re satisfied with what Celtic offer.
My guess is they’re holding out for £6 million.
Because it’s deadline day, they can pretty much name their price.
And this is what happens when you decide to try and do your business on the last day of the transfer window.
Will we have a repeat of last season?
Where we pay way over the odds for the players we want, and then the pressure is on those players from day one?
Because believe me, at this point in time, neither the players or the team need that shit.
They’re in a tough enough place as it is.
They don’t need another scenario where the players are blamed for their price tag.
Anyone can see that this will be totally down to the board, and nothing to do with the players we bring in.
That is, if we actually manage bring in what’s required?
As things have progressed through out the day, it’s looking less and less likely that we’ll land any of the key targets we had in mind.
And if Adam Idah goes to Swansea, despite the manager’s wishes to the contrary, then we are left with Johnny Kenny and Shin Yamada as a our striking options until next January.
This scenario would be an utter disgrace, and without doubt, the board’s positions should be untenable after a calamity such as that.
These charlatans have single handedly destroyed our first team in less than 8 months since last January.
It’s an absolute farce.
They have had 77 days to sort out the recruitment the manager required.
Instead here we are, scrambling around at the last minute.
Looking like complete amateurs, and becoming more and more of a laughing stock.
But don’t worry, these guys know what they’re doing.
Trust the process.

A board that takes high wages and large bonuses congratulating each other on the money in the bank, then on the last day of the transfer window running around with a begging bowl for loan players whilst sevco get deals done with no problems.

On the game itself, it was the poorest Glasgow derby in a long time. Drumchapel and Clydebank would have been a better sporting spectacle… I was expecting the Ibrox mob to pip it, but fate would have that we somehow deserved a point… Who could blame Dolberg for saying “Aye right!” to joining Celtic at this moment in time? Dumped out of Europe by Carrot Almighty and serving up continued dross in the supposed derby of all derbies…? In any other industry, the rapid decline of any output like that we have overseen here, would lead to the exit door for many if not all. It has been an epic failure, and won’t go unnoticed around Europe, with agents and targeted players saying, no thank you. There’s no zing, no ying, but looks like we now have 2 Yangs for our wings. Balikwisha brought feck all to that match, not a lad that looked keen to impress on his arrival was he? Maybe I’m being a little harsh, for he was hardly supported during his time on the pitch… What I saw from the veteran players has me deeply worried about the season ahead. Tierney looks vulnerable, McGregor looks like he needs a holiday, Hatate looks like he is bedding in new legs, his ball control is atrocious! Engels is still all huff and puff with little output, and Maeda looks like he needs a good cry. If this Summer window wasn’t the most crucial in recent times, the next one sure as hell is. January isn’t going to solve half the problems facing this squad. There is no drive, dynamism, variance, to the tactics. Every player got the ball and had to look up and take another 2 or 3 touches, so what the feck are they working on in training? There should be an expectancy and anticipation of movement based on a system of play – usually targeted against the opponents weak areas, which against them was fecking everywhere! Was that the problem? Did we have too many weaknesses to think about that we rendered ourselves motionless?? Brugge and every other premiership team that played that mob this season done your homework for you ffs. No CL this season could be a blessing yet… any half decent side in Europe would waltz through us. Heads should roll at Celtic Park, players need moved on, youngsters should be bled through with quality, experienced players beside them, transfers for next Summer need researched and discussed right now.

We can’t have players who show up 2-3 times in 10. We need players who are EFFECTIVE,not stylish and classy looking in possession…guys with a purpose other than getting tf out at their convenience.
Not a single bit of initiative or imagination shown by any midfield or forward player yesterday at Ibrox. Looks to me like they were acting under instruction…no way can the players involved yesterday or in both Kayrat games fail so miserably otherwise.
If they played to instruction,they should have said “fuck you” to that.
Watching Celtic since first game in 1969,I’ve never seen anything so pathetic,gutless and cowardly as what we’ve witnessed in the past fortnight.

As for yesterday,both sets of fans missed an opportunity to unite (however briefly) to sing in unison “SIMPLY THE WORST”.
I’d have applauded that.
As a Celtic fan I am embarrassed with all this fiasco and unprofessionalism coming from the control room of so called self acclaimed best run football club in europe, give my head peace, no club in europe is getting laughed at like us or running around trying to get Last minute deals that are avoidable with proper planning and being responsible within your job remit to deliver the expectancy that comes hand in hand with those wages that those receive, absolutely pathetic from all areas of responsibility.
