Uefa Cup Fourth Round 2004, name the starting eleven:
This was a game we were not expected to win. When we saw the fourth round draw, many of us didn’t expect to get beyond it when we drew Barcelona.
This was a team with the likes of Ronaldinho, Xavi, Valdes and Carlos Puyol in it, the backbone of the team that would go on to be so successful for Pep Guardiola.
But on a European night at Celtic, as we all know, that’s not how things always turn out. This night was one to remember.
It was a fiery affair, with heavy tackles flying in all over the place in the first half. Tempers flared at half time in the tunnel and after an altercation between big Rab Douglas and Thiago Motta, both players found themselves red carded and unable to resume play in the second half.
It was no less fiery in the second half and Javier Saviola found himself red carded in the 49th minute for a reckless tackle.
David Marshall, who would go on to be the hero of the second leg, stepped in admirably for Rab Douglas and saved a second half penalty.
The moment that lifted the roof off Celtic park came in the 59th, when Celtic scored a beauty of a winner.
Can you name the starting eleven on the night?
I gave you a head start with Big Rab, you’ve got two minutes!
