Wow, just wow! Pat Nevin really is the man when it comes to all the hot Celtic and Ibrox news.
He just knows everything, doesn’t he?
What’s more, the Record loves to roll out his garbage ramblings on a regular basis.
Which always seem to amount to the square root of f*** all.
Nevin is actually worse than Hugh Keevins, if that were even possible.
Nothing he ever predicts or speaks about comes to pass.
Remember the time he told us that Hamza Igamane was off to Everton?
Or that he could’ve been, or might’ve been, and even if he did, he wouldn’t get first team football.
Or something…
Yet the Record seems to consistently gives his gambling website tarot readings more airtime than they deserve.
Yesterday, there was not one, but two stories from him Scotland’s favourite (not) rag.
Story number one from yesterday tells us that Stevie G would definitely be ‘tempted’ to head back to Ibrox.
Story number two, from late Monday evening, tells us that Ange Postecoglou will be heading back to Celtic after three games in charge at Nottingham Forest.
Here’s what Nevin had to say about Ange Postecoglou, and a possible return to Celtic.

Try not to laugh too much:
Celtic fans would love Damien Duff. I can remember once a lot of people said that Henrik Larsson would be a great manager for Celtic. And then people started watching his managerial career and they went, maybe not.
Celtic see themselves as as big a club as any Premier League side in England. They just go for the best man. Back to that one again.
You never know, Ange Postocoglou might be available again by that time – by the end of the season.
It looks like Brendan will last until the end of this season, and you wouldn’t be surprised if he left then.
Celtic will scour the planet again, and they might not go as far as Australia this time, but Damien will be a name, but he’ll be a name on a pretty long list.
What a load of incessant, rambling, drivel.
Celtic fans would love Damien Duff??
Have you asked the Celtic fans if they’d love Damien Duff, Pat?
What’s even funnier is that the Record created a headline and an article out of one line from Nevin on Ange Postecoglou.
This article is more about Damien Duff than it is about Ange Postecoglou.
And by the way, what’s Nevin’s obsession with Damien Duff?
How does he know that we’d love him?
This isn’t the first time he’s tried to push the Damien Duff line with us.
Oh, and newsflash, Pat, Celtic don’t scour the world for managers.
They scour the Hampden showers, Mark Lawwell’s Citi-group contact list, and Dermot Desmond’s phonebook.
And just in case you didn’t know, they didn’t go to Australia for Ange Postecoglou, they went to Japan.
Via a Zoom call.
Hugh Keevins wouldn’t get a look in.
Today, Nevin is predicting that Stevie G will be back at Ibrox in the event that Russell Martin gets the boot, since he knows how to win titles and stuff.

Although he might find a psychotic Ibrox crowd, and the lack of a pandemic a bit of a challenge this time around.
Here are Nevin’s pearls of wisdom on a Stevie G return.
No laughing down the back there!
I think R*****s would be quite tempting for Gerrard because remember he’s the last one that won a league title, he told betideas.com. Celtic have had so many in a row. So you’ve got to look at Gerrard, he knew how to do that job for a period of time.
There is a big but. Where are you taking R*****s from, particularly right now? Even just a look at the league table. It’s a big old ask. It’s a huge ask just now.
So it’s whether he likes what he sees when he looks at that, would he be tempted by that?
Of course, just because he won a Covid title, that makes Stevie G the ideal candidate for the job, doesn’t it?
And add to that the fact that he knew how to do the job for a period of time, and stuff.
Just a shame he didn’t know how to do the job at Aston Villa, or at Al-Ettifaq after that.
But never fear, he knows how to do the job at Ibrox.
I guess when he meets with the Yanks to discuss terms, he could ask them to boot out all of the fans.
The Yanks are doing a good job of that by themselves anyway, so they might all be gone by the time Stevie gets back.
Less added pressure then, and a serious title winning ingredient at Ibrox.
Stevie could then ask them to transfer their sponsorship deal with Red Bull over to the Ibrox side as well.
Thus ensuring thousands of crates of Red Bull could be delivered to Ibrox.
You know?
To supply that caffeine infused formula that helped him to win the Covid season?
Now all of my incessant, incoherent babbling sounds as incessant and incoherent as Pat Nevin’s.
Because all of what I’ve predicted has about as much chance of happening as what Pat Nevin has predicted.
You know something, though?
At least Hugh Keevins has an excuse for his garbage, he’s an ageing dinosaur.
Pat Nevin isn’t, so he should know better.
I blame the Record, and Betideas.com for giving him airtime.
How Pat Nevin could ever encourage you to gamble is beyond me!
Although wait a second, listening to him could drive you to it…
I see what you’re doing now Betideas.com, you dirty, dirty dawg.
Okay, I’ll shut up now.
These stooges like nevin mulgrew and Lennon are mr Desmond’s men in the media . Nevin I actually liked but he’s playing us for fools just like mulgrew and Lennon telling us we are ungrateful so and sos . Lennon must be waiting on a phone call from the emperor Desmond just like Barry Ferguson across the river
Only Chris Sutton is worth listening to the rest are just propaganda and unfortunately our board are another part of the problem ,Brendan has been Impeccable throughout this sorry debacle
The board said they scoured the world for a manager and found one in the shower at Celtic park . Who’d have thought it ?
