Well, we’re all well on the Martin O’Neill nostalgia bandwagon at the moment.
And tonight, the legendary Celtic manager returns to the competition that was the scene of the club’s last European final appearance.
It might be called the Europa League now, but the same trophy that was on offer back in 2003 is on offer for the winners of the tournament in it’s current format.
While not many expect us to win against Midtjylland this evening, O’Neill might have other ideas.
He may just feel that he has unfinished business in this competition.
Wishful thinking, I know, but a man can dream.
While showings in recent campaigns have done little to inspire, O’Neill might just light the touch fuse in this one, using the run to the UEFA Cup final in 2003 as inspiration.
