Is Don Robertson the most inept Scottish referee of all time, or is he just “inept” when it comes to Celtic?

Don Robertson, magician extraordinaire, a man capable of creating yellow cards out of thin air.
I think you catch my drift when I refer to thin air?
Because that’s what seems to be between Celtic players and the players they’ve allegedly assaulted when Robertson hands out his magical yellow cards.
One never imagined he’d best his Alex Schalk magic trick from 2017, but somehow he did.
Yesterday, Daizen Maeda performed a ninja like attempt at blocking a clearance from Killie defender James Brown.
As he sailed gracefully through thin air, making zero contact whatsoever with Brown, I’m guessing the updraft, gale of wind, vortex, whatever you want to call it, turned the helpless Brown upside down.
In Don Robertson’s book, this warrants a yellow card.
Just ask Alex Schalk.
Yes, “Der Bomber von Breda” was on the receiving end of one of those very vortex inducing tackles from Erik Sviatchenko back in 2017.
I’m not sure he ever recovered properly from it.
Don Robertson magicked up a yellow card for that one, and a penalty to boot!
But in all seriousness, what an absolute joke of a decision yesterday.
It seems there are no limits to the level of blunder Robertson is capable of making.
Which begs the question, is he officially the most inept Scottish referee of all time?
Or is his ineptitude only prevalent around Celtic, if you catch my drift?
Well, miraculously yesterday, the team that had 74.7% of the possession managed to commit 14 fouls.
Whereas the team that only had 25.3% only committed 4 fouls
Imagine that?
Now, in a football league where you have professional referees who have to go through the misfortune of declaring their allegiances, (I know, can you believe that?!), something entirely different happens in games like yesterday’s.
Usually, the team with the most possession is the team that commits the least fouls.
This is because the team with less possession is doing all of the chasing to get the ball, and invariably, this results in them committing more fouls.
The opposite seems to be the case in Scotland, or more to the point, in games when Celtic are playing.
The pattern always seems to be that while Celtic has the majority of the possession, we still commit more fouls than the opposition.
In our last three home fixtures, where we had the majority of the possession in all three fixtures, but the foul counts were as follows:
Celtic 17 – Motherwell 12
Celtic 14 – Falkirk 12
Celtic 14 – Kilmarnock 4
Note that the Kilmarnock game was refereed by Robertson…
To give an example of how professional, unbiased referees perform, I picked a game from the EPL over the weekend to test this theory.
Aston Villa defeated Bournemouth by the same margin we defeated Kilmarnock.
Aston Villa had more possession than Bournemouth in this game, so have a guess what the foul count was?
20 fouls to Bournemouth, and 8 to Aston Villa.
Villa were the team in ascendency, as the result reflects, so Bournemouth constantly had to chase them in this game.
As a result, they committed a lot more fouls than Villa.
That’s pretty much how it should play out.
So let’s go back to the candidate for Scotland’s worst referee and his alleged ineptitude.
Is it really ineptitude or a pattern of assistance, though?
To conclude, I’ll leave you with this.
When we played out a nil-all draw with Hibs at the end of September, Robertson was once again the referee.
The foul count?
Celtic 16 – Hibs 1
Celtic had 77.4% possession.
Ineptitude or intention?
Which is it?
I mean, I’d like to say that Robertson is the most inept referee in Scotland, but something tells me he isn’t really.
Something tells me he just doesn’t like Celtic.

Celtic 10 – St. Mirren 6.
I could keep going because this pattern is prevalent in every game Robertson referees involving Celtic.
Maybe he’s not so stupid after all….
Don Robertson is just super shite when he referee’s us and has always been.He is also a cheat and that’s why he gets so many of our game’s.
It is worse than that. He abuses the advantage rule. yesterday on numerus occasions our players were fouled play on as we had the ball. a killie player gets touched he allows 10 seconds of play Kilmarnock have the ball he blows for free kick to waste time break up play and allow Kilmarnock to launch the ball into our half

Hard (Opponents) v Soft (Celtic) refereeing, anyone who has had played any level of football could you imagine the frustration of being up against an opponent who kicks the shite out you without reproach but when you slightly touch them it’s given as a foul.
The explanation is simple, he is anti- Celtic and will never change, the club hierarchy must provide this season’s (Robertson) stats to Collum and request his removal from the top roster so he has no further negative influence on the champions.

In a league of terrible (biased) refs he stands head and shoulders above… He is a danger to Celtic, it was he who allowed Alloa to ruin Ideguci’s Celtic career (same game where CalMac was also assaulted). The silent board are complicit.

Yesterday’s performance was as abysmal as it was utterly inept.
If it wasn’t inept then steps really have to be taken. I could se from sixty yards away that Maeda didn’t touch the guy. Hatate gets thrown to the ground and nothing happens to the player so obviously he thinks that is alright but when he does exactly the same he’s taken aside and given a talking too. Players taken late, players dragged down off the ball, everything is fair game when it comes to us with this clown ambling about the park as if he’s out for a Sunday stroll.
Bet he gets the cup final
The most inept referee? No doubt about it, but what about R. H. Davidson from Airdrie?
He refereed eight old firm games round about the time Celtic won the European Cup.
Five Rangers wins and three draws.
Davidson wasn’t inept. He was CORRUPT.
Don Robertson is corrupt and a danger to the players. He is a major part of the problem in everything that is wrong with the game in Scotland. Other major players in this disaster of a league are the governing bodies and media.
Not one thing has been done to stop the descent of the game in Scotland.
We expect whoever represents us in European games to be competitive.What a joke. How can you prepare for serious competition when you are playing in a fekin garage league.
Getting back to Robertson, the stats show his corruption. It’s all there for the SFA to take steps.
