Time to take Danny Röhl seriously? Or will Celtic fans be having loadsa LMFAO moments by 10pm?

Danny Röhl talks a good game, and he seems to be a pretty level headed guy.

Granted, we said that about Philippe Clement during his first few months as manager of the Ibrox side as well.

But he soon became a laughing stock after his credibility tanked in the aftermath of the 3-3 “moral victory”.

He descended into the pits of farce thereafter.

You see, its only ever a matter of time before the insanity of Ibrox takes you over.

It has gotten to all of them in the end.

The question is, will it eventually dig it’s claws into Röhl?

Now, he hasn’t quite bought into the kulture of Ibrox, aside from donning the brown brogues, and the club tie and blazer.

For Danny Röhl, that became an unavoidable prerequisite after the departure of his predecessor.

The German was obviously astute enough to observe that Russell Martin’s refusal to wear the brown brogues from the get go was the beginning of the end for the amiable Englishman.

One cannot deny that since his arrival, Röhl has quietly turned around the fortunes of the Ibrox club.

With a little help from his friends from Lanarkshire, naturally.

They are right back in this title race.

The carpark at the Falkirk Stadium last October is now but a distant memory.

Of course, we won’t mention David Dickinson’s recent love in with his favourite club being a big part of the reason Danny Röhl finds himself where he is now, as he heads into the game at Fir Park tonight.

One would imagine that David’s proud Uncle down under is currently a very chippa little vegemite.

Young David, has indeed, done him proud.

I digress.

Back to the young German manager at Ibrox.

Today, he has made it clear that the old Ibrox club is now dead, and there’s a newer, braver one that has taken it’s place.

Here’s what he had to say:

A couple of weeks ago we were maybe a little bit too respectful, too fearful, too scared for such a game – but now we’re looking forward.

The bravado is starting to bubble beneath for Danny Röhl, just as it did with Mr. Clement as he lost the run of himself when his side got to the summit of the Scottish Premiership.

As Clement discovered, its all very well making it there, but staying there is a different story altogether.

Hearts have shown everyone up to this point what it takes to stay on top of the Scottish Premiership.

They also showed last night against their bitter rivals, in a game that look destined for a draw, what it takes to grind out a result.

There’s a resilience about them that might surprise Mr. Röhl and his brave new side next weekend at Ibrox.

In the meantime, while we play Livingston at home, Röhl, Captain Tav-pen, Stevie McLean and John Beaton face a tough trip to Fir Park.

Jens Berthel Askou’s Motherwell side have not conceded a goal at home since last October.

One would imagine that John and Steve will pull out all the stops to ensure that particular stat changes.

By way of the usual obligatory penalty?

They couldn’t make it 7 out of 8, could they?

Either way, we’ll find out what kind of tough stuff Danny Röhl’s fearless new heroes are made of tonight.

We’ll also find out if Danny himself is the real deal.

In fact, we’ll have a very clear picture of how real a deal he is by the end of this week.

So, what will happen tonight?

Well, we have to concede that the Ibrox side have got the advantage of a 12th man, so the steelmen will have to be on their best behaviour.

Jens Berthel Askou will have to warn his players that if they so much as fart in the penalty box in the vicinity of an Ibrox player, it will send them crashing to the deck.

And we all know what happens when Ibrox players go crashing to the deck in penalty box, don’t we?

PENALTY TO RAYNJURZ!!

I’m sure even Danny is wising up to that fact.

So, one wonders if he’ll be doing the opposite to Jens Berthel Askou, and advising his players to resemble people who are vertically challenged any time they enter the Motherwell penalty area?

It must be rather a pleasure for Danny knowing that 80% of referees are on his side?

Then again, Motherwell might just be too good, and too clean for them this evening.

Its shaping up to be in an interesting evening of Scottish Premiership football.

Hearts have laid down the gauntlet for Celtic and the Ibrox side.

Celtic should cruise this evening.

Its never easy these days watching Celtic, but somehow, Martin O’Neill keeps grinding out wins.

And he never has a 12th man, so that say a lot!

Danny has a 12th, and even 13th man, so if he loses, or even draws?

Well, there’s going to be a lot of LMFAO moments for Celtic fans by 10pm tonight!
