Its now fair to say that Celtic are a good bet to do the double this season.
Something we all would have had severe doubts about around the 28th of February.
We were headed into a very tough run of fixtures, and most people feared the worst due to the fact we had been struggling to get over the line in our games prior to that.
When we lost at home to Hibs on the 22nd of February, it seemed like our worst fears could come to pass as we headed to Stuttgart on the following Thursday, and then onto Ibrox on the Sunday.
We got out of Germany with a 1-0 win, which boosted confidence heading to Ibrox.
You know the rest of the story after that.
That tough run of fixtures culminated in a relatively comfortable victory over Motherwell last Saturday.
Second place was consolidated, and then Hearts somehow managed to lose at Rugby Park.
Suddenly the door swung wide open for Celtic.

Beat Hearts and the Ibrox side after the split, and the we could be in the driving seat when it comes to the title.
To land the league, and then possibly the cup would be nothing short of miraculous.
As we said last night on the Trinity Tims podcast, if Martin O’Neill manages to do the double, the Celtic board should be bringing him out of Celtic Park on their shoulders.
Which brings me nicely along to the board.
Who I have no doubt are planning well ahead for a summer of huge change at the club.
Not!
The level of squad rebuild required to get Celtic back to a level that is even remotely better than this season, is way beyond the capabilities of someone like Michael Nicholson.
He has proven that categorically in the last two transfer windows.
Transfer negotiations are the Celtic CEO’s kryptonite.
If we are headed into next season with Nicholson still as CEO at Celtic, then we are doomed.
Its that simple.
He cannot be allowed to oversee the summer transfer window.
Look, I don’t need to go over last summer’s window, and the shitshow that it was, but when it comes to Nicholson, everybody knows what his short fallings are.
In fact, I think its fair to say Nicholson brings nothing positive to the club.
He drains £16k a week from the club, and gives very little in return for it, other than rank incompetence.
I haven’t even got to the subject of a new manager either.
After the Wilfried Nancy interregnum, that’s another scenario to dread if Nicholson is anywhere near it.

Its almost as if the board thinks that if Martin O’Neill does achieve a miracle that they will then be perfectly safe in their positions.
Think again.
There was once a time when landing trebles and doubles was enough season after season.
That time has long since passed.
I think the average Celtic fan would be abhorred at the thought of any of these incompetents remaining in situ.
I think we all know they’d take the easy option if the Irishman did achieve the miracle of Saint Martin.
They’d offer it to him in the Hampden showers.
Don’t get me wrong, at this point, I think that would be no bad thing.
Whether Martin O’Neill thinks it would be good for his ticker at 74 is another thing entirely.
But its definitely something you could see happening.
The moral of this story is that we all know there is no plan, no strategy, for this coming summer.
Until such time as these incompetents do the honourable thing and step down, Celtic will continue down the doom spiral it has experienced this season.
Nothing will change until they’re gone.
Nothing they say will be believed.
They said they’ve made mistakes, and they’ve learned from them.
Yet all they’ve done is make more and more mistakes.
Its time for them to go.
Key Takeaways

I think Nicholson will go in the summer and as for the rest of the Board , They’re toast .
Away and stick your negative BS somewhere warm…that govan mob are looking for cheerleader’s…I think they be found one…
Great win on Saturday, hearts lost and only pis-…you can’t make it up..
Nicholson keeps his job under the say of the board’s votes. His resignation was refused fake news maybe.point need an aggressive CEO to get Celtic upto top world level.Wilson and most of the board are so far off it. But they are not off paying Their own cheque. We need a Huge Change
Why don`t you wait and see what transpires? As the saying goes….Que Sera Sera …. what will be will be. The fate in store is equal for both Celtic and THEM. The possibilities are virtually the same. Even if THEY win the league they will spend to improve. Equally, if they lose the league they will still spend big, so it isn`t worth while getting het-up on probabilities or possibilities, ifs or buts.
So, once again, Que Sera Sera, etc.
The rebuild needed is huge and the people in charge of football signings needs change and that Nicholson needs booted out . I’m not so sure they are going to change . Maybe a little change they might implement to placate the masses . If we manage to win that league then that’ll be down to Martin Oneil not this board or owner
