For many years now, out-with the Covid season, Celtic have never really been in the kind of position they find themselves in today.
A position where they are having to chase a League title.
Celtic were never in a position to chase anything this time 5 years ago, because the Ibrox side already had the Covid title wrapped up.
There’s no real point in talking about that because its not a metric to measure this season by.
This season is just a trail of self-destructiveness, the likes of which we’ve never seen before at Celtic.
Its hard to fathom how we got here, but we are here nonetheless.
Well actually, its very easy to understand how we got here, the warning signs have been there for almost a decade now.
But the fact that it was allowed to get this far, where no lessons were ever learnt throughout failure after failure, is what is unfathomable.
Celtic is extremely close to losing what was a very easy grip on Scottish football in the 21st century.

Asking if this was by design, or through sheer incompetence, will only send you down a rabbit hole that will drive you to the edge of reason.
There is no figuring this one out.
The only people who can tell you why we’re where we are have been on mute for years now.
And even if they could tell you, they wouldn’t.
Because that would mean accepting responsibility for where Celtic finds itself now.
It would mean they have no scapegoats, and what they’ve done all season is clamour for scapegoats because its never their fault.
Sometimes I ask myself how Celtic managed to land itself the most useless bunch of incompetents the club has ever seen since it’s inception, but then I realise there’s no point.
As Joe hates to say on the Trinity Tims podcast, and so do I, it is what it is.
Celtic are currently locked into this downward spiral, and all we can do is look on and see where it takes us.
We, the fans, will be the collateral damage if the shit hits the fan.
The board members will walk away rich men, as a result of their parasitic theft of astronomical wages.
And what has the club got in return for their greed and ineptitude?
Celtic’s hegemony in the Scottish game now teeters on the edge.
That’s what they’ve given us in return.
5 years ago, Dave King and Steven Gerrard lamented the inability of the Ibrox club to keep us down while we were floored.
And make no mistake, at that time, we were floored.
We lucked into the ultimate hero in Ange Postecoglou, and he single handedly picked Celtic up off the floor.
It wasn’t until after all that that the cretins in the boardroom wanted a piece of the action.
However, lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place.
The likelihood of imbeciles like Nicholson and McKay, with Unity Wilson thrown into the mix, finding the next Ange Postecoglou is somewhere between Bob Hope and no hope.
If we lose this title to the Ibrox side, they will make sure we stay on the canvas this time.

They have what some perceive to be financial stability now, and that, in addition to qualifying for the Champions League, would be devastating for Celtic.
I make no bones about saying that.
If any of you out there think that the Ibrox side won’t spend, spend, spend, to ensure we can’t lay a glove on them?
I’d suggest you think again.
I would also be pretty confident that Andrew Cavenagh and his shareholders will quietly toast the Celtic board for their good fortune.
So folks, the next 7 games are crucial for Celtic.
They are crucial because they are the only remaining hope we have of staying on top in the Scottish game.
They are the only remaining hope we have of staying at Europe’s top table.
Lose this league, and the likelihood is we lose all that prestige.
And believe me, the Ibrox club will be only too happy to kick us into the grave they crawled out of.
You can bet your bottom dollar on that.

Of course the PLC board want the Huns to win the league. How else can their actions since 2012 be otherwise explained? Look at the number of Masons on the board. These guys are hardly going to do anything that improves the lot of Celtic Football Club. They have sabotaged various managers at every turn. Look at Peter Lawwell’s face at the end of the 2024 Scottish Cup Final. He was absolutely raging that his team had been well beaten on the day. Sums that whole mob up.
Hail Hail.
Ofcourse they want there allies to win this league and there will never be Unity as long as they stay along with the happy clappers the happy clappers would support hitler and his gang rather than us
Maybe if yourself and Forrest hadn`t been looking over the fence and laughing at Sevco you would have seen the writing on the wall a long time ago. I made a comment on Paul McConville`s (?) blog a few years ago on the lines of “weep not for me but for yourselves and your children” regarding the obvious and also the state that the stadium was heading in and I was accused of being an illegitimate lurking Hun, to quote the polite ones.
Celtic have lost the league. Let`s hope Hearts win all their games now. That`s the lesser of two evils. It doesn`t bear contemplating if THEY get their hands on CL cash. The one horse races will be amazing and things to be enjoyed
rather than boring as far as the Scottish media are concerned.
