And then there were two.
I think its fair to say that lasty night’s result at Tynecastle, barring a minor miracle, ended the Ibrox side’s hopes of winning the title this season.
Once again, the pressure got to them.
Just as it did against Motherwell in the previous fixture.
They started well, and controlled the game for the majority of the first half while bagging the lead goal in addition to that.
In the second half, it was all about Hearts.
The Ibrox challenge in the second half was all but ended with goals from Stephen Kingsley and Lawrence Shankland.
If they win the title this season, it will be fully deserved.
And even though the celebrations at a packed Tynecastle last night at the final whistle might seem a tad premature, Hearts are still in the driving seat.
They are control of their own destiny.
When they arrive at Celtic Park on the 16th of May, this title race could be going down to goal difference.
But make no mistake, Celtic are still very much in this race.
At this moment in time, it is my belief that there is one side out there who can do serious damage to both Hearts and Celtic’s title aspirations.
And that side is Jens Berthel Askou’s Motherwell.
Berthel Askou has a side that can cause both Celtic and Hearts serious problems.
Hearts head to Fir Park for a late 8pm kick off next Saturday evening, knowing that nothing less than a win will suffice before Celtic take on the Ibrox side the following day at 12 noon.
If they drop points against the Steelmen, then Celtic know what they have to do in the Glasgow Derby.
The Ibrox side will still cling to some hope coming to Celtic Park.
Especially if Hearts do end up dropping points.
If that happens, the Derby should be a pretty feisty affair.
Once again, though, the Ibrox side will probably wilt under the pressure at Celtic Park.

At the business end of the season, they’ve proven they simply aren’t good enough.
They got themselves back into this title race, only to pretty much let go of it in the first two post split fixtures.
As I said in previous articles, Captain Disappointed’s premature announcement put a curse on the whole affair.
Oh, and of course, I can’t forget Hugh Keevins’ declaration that they were Champions in waiting.
You can always rely on Shug to put the kiss of death on their title aspirations every season with his constant predictions that they’re going to win it.
This season is no different.
In reality, they went out with a whimper last night in that second half at Tynecastle.
In the first, Hearts didn’t look like a side who wanted to win the title.
In the second, it was the Ibrox side who took on that mantle as Hearts came out fighting.

Once the second goal from Shankland went in, it was only ever going to end one way.
So now its on to next weekend.
Every Celtic fan will have their eyes glued to Fir Park on Saturday evening.
Hoping and praying that Motherwell will do us a favour.
The rumours continue to circulate about Jens Berthel Askou becoming the next Celtic manager.
If they’re true, he is in the unenviable position of being the man who can determine the destination of this season’s title.
If he defeats Hearts, he will be a hero to Celtic fans until the following Wednesday evening.
Then, if Berthel Askou causes us to drop points, he will become the villain of the piece.
His arrival at Celtic Park next season, if that came to pass, would be similar to that of Scott McDonald.
The Motherwell man who broke our hearts in 2005, but then became a hero for Celtic in the 07/08 season.
If Berthel Askou is the manager who thwarts our title challenge and then arrives at Celtic Park as the new manager, well, that’s going to be a strange one.
The fans cannot stand the board at the moment.
I’m not sure how well that one would go down?
But at the the end of the day, its all conjecture right now.
Three huge games to go.
By next Saturday week we’ll know who the Champions are.
Has it ever been this nail biting?

It’s over hearts will gub Motherwell and Falkirk and will be out of sight by the last game. Remember Motherwell have lost 5 out of the last 7 league games. 60000 Celtic supporters can turn up on the last day to see the wee Huns get the trophy. As long as it’s not Rangers that seems to be ok. Sad.
So the ragers fall to hearts and all but finish their season , but we my well have a mathematical chance to win the league but we have to win every remaining game and make a minus 5 goal difference, this could have been so different if we had stuck with Martin O’Neil In the first place instead of the whims of a megalomaniac billionaire Desmond and his cabal with their corporate greed and planned austerity stop giving them your money
It’s Hearts title to lose. Celtic’s “Super Superior Business Owner and his Management Board” so lauded by themselves principally and some Media Acolytes has been found out by a Data Driven approach spending a fraction of the money. Scottish Football shown up to be the Pygmy League and the 14/15 years Champions being exposed as exactly what they are, No Mark Mediocre Old Grey Men who make the Old Board look like Visionaries. Celtic under Fergus had the platform to become great again in their own way to the optimum level they could achieve.
Dermot Desmond and Peter Lawwell have taken Celtic back to the 90’s and been exposed for what they truly are.
Celtic is Grace Brothers
I didn’t know who to root for last night . Draw would have been best maybe . Good to shut that rangers up but even better to shut the maroon jambos partying like it’s 1999
Did you notice the SMSM were calling the Tyncastle game last night as the most important game in a generation ? They do know how to plug a football match when their pet project is playing in it .. don’t they ? So how will they promote the last game of the season if Hearts and Celtic are level on points and equal goal difference and winner takes all ?
It now becomes ‘ Operation Hearts Victory ‘ for every SMSM outlet and beyond until the end of the season …it’s everywhere becomes Hearts …Hearts …Hearts …no expense or help spared ! Every feel good factor event will be spoken about or printed in paper . Every old player and associates wheeled out for inspiration and good luck . Every single thing deemed an advantage and benefit and influence to Hearts will be available to all scoops …and readily used . Of course the flip side to that is that Celtic is still there with every chance of winning but all known hurdles and harmful and damaging stories and disruptive influences will magically appear with perfect timing … expertly
produced for maximum interruptions to preparations ! The scoops will become Hearts fans for the next two weeks . Nothing gets in the way of that juggernaut and survives ! So they think …..
The writing was on the wall when sausage Rohl said they had 5 cup finals, completely forgetting The Raynjurs don’t know what a cup final is , never mind winning one😁
