The Ibrox side became masters of the use of statements since they crawled out of the grave of the dead club in 2012.
Not many clubs paid attention to their “ranting into the void”, but it appears one did.
Their lower calorie cousins seem to have learnt the art of the statement quite well, as has been proven in the last five days or so.
Hearts have taken the baton from the Ibrox side when it comes to being “Statement FC”.
No doubt, they’ll probably have to hand it back pretty soon, but for now, they’re the ones “ranting into the void”.
Because that’s exactly what they’re doing.
Nobody is listening to them.
Other than the Ibrox side and their own fans, of course.
Yesterday, they were at it again….
99.9% sure this is Callum Osmand that had triggered them here… 🤣 https://t.co/Sb6PXthJ01 pic.twitter.com/A8K2skmyWn

Before I go any further, this statement came off the back of Tony Bloom’s claims that “one or two” Hearts players were assaulted.
I think it’s pretty clear where this claim is coming from.
Hearts will try and claim that Frankie Kent was assaulted by a Celtic fan.

He’s the “one or two”.
But they will conveniently attempt to ignore the fact that he was pushed by a Celtic fan who was trying to stop Kent from smashing his phone to smithereens.
Kent knocked the supporter’s phone from his hand, and then proceeded to stamp on it with his football boot.
What exactly should a football supporter do in that instance?
Tell himself, “Oh, he’s a football player, so he can’t be touched according to the law. I’d best just let him smash my phone to pieces”?
There is decent context for this in the below X post:
So a lot has been said about Hearts players being assaulted without any evidence to back it up. Edited footage of the attached video, shows a Celtic fan pushing a Hearts player – I can't distinguish who but others will be able to – however, the edited footage does not tell the… pic.twitter.com/MzWGoejk7Y

So Bloom has voiced his opinion regarding this without doing it in the proper context.
This has instead inflamed tensions further, with the release of Hearts’ statement coming not long after Bloom’s comments.
The Hearts statement is itself a thinly veiled dig at Martin O’Neill.

In other words, how dare he defend his club?
What’s really happening here is that Hearts realise that people are starting to lose interest in their bleating.
I’m not sure what it is, exactly, that they’re clinging to at this point – but the sooner they realise that what they’re doing isn’t going to change anything, the better for them – and every one involved with their club.
All this moaning and whinging in the media, as well as their unhinged statements, is making them look like the sore losers they are.
They either need to grow a pair, or shut up.
If Tony Bloom feels he has the right to defend his club, then why is it that Martin O’Neill doesn’t?
Celtic have no rights, do they?
No right to defence?
No right to call this bullshit out for what it is?
Tony Bloom and many others wailing about this have short memories.

Bloom had no problem with Brighton fans engaging in a pitch invasion.
But at Celtic it should result in points deductions, title stripping, fines, etc?
Why?
Because it’s Celtic.
No other reason.
And Celtic stole the Hearts dream, so they need to pay for that.
On top of that, thinly veiled swipes at Martin O’Neill are balls-less.
If they have an issue with Martin O’Neill defending his club, then have the balls to say so.
Have the balls to say we don’t agree with what Martin O’Neill said, instead of using cloak and dagger bollocks in your statements.
The reason they didn’t name check O’Neill is because they know who and what they’re taking on in the Celtic manager.
Martin O’Neill has a law degree, taking on the Celtic boss is a fight they’re going to lose.
And they know it.
Hearts just cannot let this one go.
Then again, they’ve been crying about Albert Kidd day since 1986, so what did we expect?
I guess we’re going either have to settle for another 40+ years of whinging, or we can expect a new challenger to keep challenging us?
Because if I was in Hearts position, that would be my focus.
My focus would be to prove this wasn’t a flash in the pan.
That my team are serious contenders, and will continue to be from here on out.
Instead we’ve been subjected to a f***ing pity party since last Saturday.
For the love of God, just give it a rest.
It’s gone, move on.
Grow a pair of balls, or shut up.
End of.
Key Takeaways
- Since 2012, the Ibrox side has effectively used statements, and now Hearts has followed suit, becoming ‘Statement FC’.
- Hearts claims of player assault appear misguided, as context reveals actions that don’t warrant such outrage.
- The Hearts statement indirectly criticises Martin O’Neill for defending his club, showing their frustration over dwindling attention.
- Critics like Tony Bloom seem to have selective memories regarding similar incidents involving other clubs, especially Celtic.
- Instead of focusing on improvement, Hearts continues to complain, maintaining a culture of defeat rather than moving forward.

Does diminutive Tony Bloom really want to be in the public eye and be flavour of the month with all the rumours about his ‘gambling habits and methods ‘ doing the rounds in englandland ,and elsewhere leaving his practices open to examination ? I would have thought any half decent Scottish sport scoop with an enquiring nature ( I know ..I know ) , might just ask a few questions about any ‘leisurely and business ‘ hobbies …ahem ? Quick question : How often do you or anyone else bet on the GG’s or football or sports using someone else’s account ?
With their sectarian singing manager and equally sectarian singing fans ,they can go and slither down the hole whence they came from
We know who should grow a pair the Celtic board , Nicholson is a sports lawyer let him take this matter further on behalf of Celtic and if need be as far as it can go, ask for proof of these so called attacks on their players and the easiest proof is their players after the game, getting on the bus and photos of their horrendous blood splattered faces.

Well said,Eric….these whinging fuckers are busting my fucking humph now. I had a measure of respect for them up until after our game at Motherwell. After that,it all evaporated…now i say “fuck ’em”.
They’re a different strain of the same virus that comes out of Ibrox…a fucking plague on society. Rats.
