There has been a lot of talk over the last couple of days around Dom McKay and his short tenure as CEO at Celtic.
Nothing revealing per se, but he has been returned to our thought stream for obvious reasons.
Everybody seems to have a sense of foreboding in relation to the summer ahead.
The signs have been pretty ominous so far since the Scottish Cup made its way back to Celtic Park last weekend.
As a result, the Celtic support is pining for someone like Dom McKay to be our CEO.
And many are wondering what our club would have looked like now if he had been allowed to continue building what he was building.
Instead, after securing a double despite the handicaps this board put on our club last season, we are witnessing the same spiteful attitude from the Celtic board headed into this summer.
The board have commenced their attack on the Green Brigade once again, with the intent of sowing division in the support before we are any where near the start of next season.
See the below from the GB:

This document speaks for itself.
I don’t need to elaborate on it, but it proves clearly that this Celtic board has learnt absolutely from the calamities of the season just gone.
Nor do they seem willing to.
Sowing division seems to be a sport to them – and antagonising the support – a hobby for their enjoyment.
They have proven that they just used the Green Brigade to aid in getting the double we just achieved over the line.
Now they have reverted to type.
What is that type?
A vacuous, utterly stupid group of individuals who really believe that this club is their plaything.
To do with what they wish.
This is what we are forced to trust in at Celtic.
How can you trust a group of individuals who cannot even get the basic requirement of hiring a manager right?
For a while yesterday, the below post on X was doing the rounds, then it was subsequently deleted:

It had 47.9k views, and was apparently reposted 77 times.
The question is, is it a fabrication, or was it real?
If it was, then why was it deleted?
If the Celtic board is looking for a tipping point, the appointment of Robbie Keane would be the right way to go about it.

I think it’s fair to say that there is very little of our support who would accept Keane as our manager.
As I stated before, he would be a Desmond appointment, and appointed simply because of his nationality, and not his skill set.
In reality, only one individual would want him as the manager of Celtic.
But I believe the appointment of this individual would send the support over the edge.
Into all out rebellion.
That is how little we want him at Celtic.
Which brings me back to Dom McKay.
I digressed slightly there, but I felt those extra points needed to be made.
A lot of media outlets and fan media produced stories about the former Celtic CEO yesterday.

I think in hindsight, it is now fair to say that Dom McKay achieved more in his short 76 day tenure at Celtic than Michael Nicholson has achieved in the 5 years since his departure.
We experienced the one of the best transfer windows in our modern history under McKay.
Which has since been well and truly asset stripped by the current incumbent in the Celtic boardroom.
Dom McKay gave us a glimpse of what this club could achieve under the right leadership.
Today, we long for that kind of leadership.
We look back on McKay’s short sojourn at our club, and we imagine what our club could have been under his stewardship.
Instead, we got Michael Nicholson.
And today, we’re still actually wondering what we got.
Because in all honesty, a cardboard cut out would achieve more than Nicholson has achieved as CEO of our great club.
And a cardboard cut out would probably have more charisma than Silent Mike.
It really seems to me that this board is hell bent on the destruction of our club.
Or more to the point, hell bent on the destruction of our support as we know it.
When Dom McKay took over at Celtic, he immediately set about engaging with all supporter groups.
In addition to that, he opened the doors to fan media in a way they had never been opened before.
Which makes you wonder…
When you take into consideration the abominable way our support has been treated by the current board in the last year or so, was McKay’s engagement with us one of the reasons his tenure was ended so abruptly?
The way they lashed out at us at the AGM?
And the way they banned fan media, and still haven’t re-opened the doors to fan media since?
Are these men, who claim they bleed for Celtic, so blinded by their hatred of the club’s support, that they have to treat us like dirt?
What is their problem with the Celtic support?
Dom McKay believed in unity at the club.
Unlike Brian Wilson, who only bullshits about unity.
Because if he actually meant what he said, there would be continued galvanisation and engagement with the support.
But instead, the board has engaged in sowing further division.
Showing that no lessons have been from learnt from last season.
Nor will lessons ever be learnt under these charlatans.
Celtic will continue on a doom spiral as long as they remain in control.
There is no point in pretending otherwise.
But we cannot continue to accept it.
If they continue to wage petty battles with the support, and then antagonise us further with an appointment like Robbie Keane, there should be hell to pay.
We need to make them realise that last season’s protests will have been tame in comparison to what’s to come.
They’ve caused everything that’s wrong at Celtic right now.
Which is why every one of us wishes we had someone like Dom McKay in control at our club.
We are doomed to repeat the same mistakes over, and over, again with these charlatans in charge.
Nothing will change.
As predicted, they really believe they’re off the hook after Martin and the boys delivered the double.
They really think the Celtic support is something malleable.
Something they can manipulate into their way of thinking.
Their way of thinking is outdated by over 20 years.
The ironic thing is that they’re the only ones who can’t see that.
They have no vision, no plan, and really, no support.
They are still, and always will be, the most hated board in Celtic’s modern history.
And to think it could have been so different if they’d allowed a man with vision to take the club forward 5 years ago?
We can only dream about where we’d be now if Dom McKay was still at the club.
That’s really all we’re left with.
Because we can never look forward under this board.

We have ourselves to blame, the fans who have renewed season tickets have just paid the boards wages again, so no good complaining. No one should have renewed at least until a manager and some players were in the door
The Celtic bloggers complain continuously but do absolutely nothing about any of their complaints. They would rather use a thousand words (more advertising cash) than use
hundred in their articles.
They lament about Sevco fans and their anti-Irish sectarian/racist songs but wouldn`t think about
asking the Irish (politicians) their thoughts on it or question their silence. They would never
contact the SFA, the SPFL or EUFA with their complaints and they have been lamenting for the past couple of weeks about the coverage given about the disputed penalty at Fir Park without even a mention in defence, orally or visually, of the human drone attack on Maeda by the ten foot Motherwell goalkeeper.
I gave up my season ticket a a few years back because of the way Celtic allowed the police free
rein on the support but these so-called spokespeople for the fans would never cancel their
season ticket in case they “won`t ever get it back”. I cancelled mine under the same scenario
but I was willing to carry on with my protest. It certainly didn`t make any difference in the grand scheme of things but at least, within myself, I knew I wasn`t a hypocrite.
He actually achieved more in 76 days than Lawwell did in 17 years! Therein lies the problem. There’s no way that was going to be allowed to continue.
They are just a bunch of wealthy guys taunting and trolling us now. They have no interest and no clue how to take the club forward. But they will need to be dragged screaming out of there because of the money they are making.Silent Mike as a sports lawyer could look to earn between 90-100 grand a year on the outside.Up there he’s on 750.They ain’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Pure gossip but I was told that Dom McKay was fired because he signed Carter-Vickers without getting Dermot Desmonds permission to go ahead with the deal. Desmond was uncontactable for days so McKay used his initiative and signed the player for Celtic. It seems that Desmond has the final say in everything at Celtic FC.
