The Celtic Supporters Trust and the Celtic Supporters Association release two excellent and damning statements of the Celtic board, will they achieve anything, though?
Eric Knott At the risk of sounding a bit negative in light of two fantastic statements from the CSA and the Celtic Supporters Trust, I think we all know that statements achieve nothing when it comes to the Celtic board.
If last season proved anything to us, it’s this much.
However, I’d like to acknowledge that both statements are on point, and 100% correct in everything they state.
I have no doubt that when members of the board read them, their smug, egotistic attitudes will result in them laughing out loud.
Simply because they feel they are untouchable.
The sad reality here is that they are.
For now.
They know it, and we know it.
That said, we should never stop highlighting their inadequacies.
In light of recent developments at the club, an incessant campaign to shine the spotlight on them should be maintained from here on out.
It might not achieve anything in the short term.
But what it will achieve is continual highlighting of their inability to run this club to the required level, while further opening the eyes of supporters who hitherto have been unaware of the sharp decline this club is experiencing under their pathetic stewardship.
Not that there can be many supporters like that left at this point.
But such is the enormity of our support worldwide, these statements can only serve to unite us all in striving for a common goal for our club.
The eventual removal and replacement of this entire board.
At some point, it may even result in certain Celtic board members actually taking a look in the mirror.
I often wonder how Michael Nicholson wakes up every morning, fully in the knowledge that he is absolutely despised by the majority of Celtic fans worldwide.
Surely dislike on that level must get to even the most thick skinned individuals on the Celtic board?
You see, the reality here is that all of Celtic’s supporter groups are uniting in the quest to secure the long-term future of this club.

With each passing day, their pathetic statements and comments on social media do nothing other than prove how disconnected they are from reality.
The vast majority of the Celtic support has had just about enough of them too.
Vocalise it enough, and eventually, it will have the desired effect.

Most people who see it believe this person is a board plant.
Many even say that he is Ross Desmond using a pseudonym.
His vehement defence of the board makes that much plausible.
Whoever he is, he is completely detached from the reality of what is going on Celtic.

If the Club wishes to avoid a repeat of the disharmony and unrest that dominated much of last season, it must act swiftly to remove Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay before the situation deteriorates further.
Since the turn of this century, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Celtic Park so empty for a pre-season friendly as it was yesterday.
This was not a coincedence.
This time a year ago, 55,000 fans turned out for the pre-season friendly against Newcastle United.
Yesterday’s attendance was about 12,000 at a push.
This is unprecedented at Celtic.
But equally, the board’s behaviour is also unprecedented.
I highlighted yesterday that players rarely take to social media to expose the behaviour of the Celtic board.
Two now former players felt the need to do that in the last couple of days.
They did this because they needed it to be known to Celtic fans that it was not their fault that negotiations to sign them permanently collapsed.
The recent statements from the CST and the CSA highlight accurately everything that is wrong at our club.
To an outsider, they are a damning indictment of the Celtic board.
The language in them is 100% accurate.
But sadly, the reality is that all the statements in the world with not change things at Celtic while Dermot Desmond is allowed to run amok and act like Celtic is his own personal fiefdom.
A fiefdom he uses to wage war against the very people who help to line his pockets year after year at Celtic.
There is something hideously grotesque about that fact.
Dermot Desmond persists in antagonising the very people who ensure Celtic is one of the richest clubs in Britain.
You couldn’t make that up if you tried.
Yet here we are.
But with each passing day, more and more Celtic fans are getting sick of Desmond, and his Axis of Feeble.
Today’s statements are representative of the opinions of the majority of the Celtic support.
Sadly, we gave them licence to behave as they do by giving them record renewals when it comes to season tickets.
They have our money now, so they don’t give a toss.
We need to find more novel ways of forcing them to give a toss.
We can start by giving them more of the same as yesterday when it comes to our friendly against AC Milan.
Indeed, I’m sure they’ll give us plenty of food for thought in the coming weeks on how to make life more and more uncomfortable for them.
This now ends only one way.
There is no coming back from it.
No backing down until each and every one of them is gone.
In the meantime, well done to the CSA and the CST for two excellent statements.
I only wish they would force the desired outcome contained within them before the start of the new season.
A man can dream though.

The o only way this wil be resolved is by an internal coup in the Board. However, in the meantime every method, excluding threats of violence, should be used to put pressure on Desmond and his cabal.
