Celtic Agree Personal Terms With Mika Baur as Paderborn Talks Continue
Celtic have reportedly agreed personal terms with German midfielder Mika Baur, with club-to-club negotiations continuing with SC Paderborn.

Celtic have taken a significant step towards completing another summer signing after reportedly reaching an agreement with Mika Baur over personal terms.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the German midfielder has accepted Celtic’s proposed terms, with negotiations now continuing between the Scottish champions and SC Paderborn.
PERSONAL TERMS AGREED
Agreeing personal terms does not guarantee the transfer will be completed, but it is an important breakthrough. Celtic must now negotiate an acceptable fee and finalise the structure of the deal with Paderborn.
The fact Baur appears willing to make the move should give Celtic confidence that an agreement can be reached. The remaining obstacle is now at club level, placing pressure on the Celtic hierarchy to move quickly and avoid allowing negotiations to drag on unnecessarily.
WHO IS MIKA BAUR?
Baur is a technically gifted German midfielder who is comfortable operating centrally or in more advanced areas.
The 22-year-old stands at 5ft 8in and has previously represented Germany at several youth levels. He began his senior career with SC Freiburg II before joining Paderborn in 2024, while he also gained valuable experience during a loan spell with Dynamo Dresden.
His age and profile suggest Celtic view him as a player who can contribute immediately while continuing to develop.
CELTIC MUST FINISH THE DEAL
After weeks of frustration surrounding Celtic’s transfer activity, supporters will be encouraged to hear that personal terms have already been settled.
However, nobody should be celebrating until the player is photographed holding the scarf at Celtic Park. The club have reached promising stages in negotiations before without completing the transfer.
