Liam Donnelly has become the latest player to be linked with a move to Celtic this month, but a number of Hoops fans are not keen on the deal.

The Northern Ireland international is enjoying a fine season for Motherwell, with nine goals from 20 appearances in all competitions so far from defensive midfield.

And Belfast Live reported on Tuesday morning that Celtic were keeping tabs on the in-form midfielder, claiming a surprise move could be in the offing prior to the end of the transfer window.

Celtic are understood to be monitoring Northern Ireland and Motherwell midfielder Liam Donnelly with a view to a shock move before the end of the January transfer window.

The report continues by suggesting Celtic are one of a number of teams “who are ready to test Motherwell’s resolve” with an offer this month.

These Celtic fans are not convinced by the rumours however, with many questioning why the club would be interested in him.
