Celtic are one of the sides interested in signing midfielder Emil Bohinen from Norwegian side Stabaek, according to reports.
The teenager is the son of former Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Lars, and like his father was many years ago, he too is attracting a lot of attention from scouts of both English and Scottish clubs.
Both Burnley and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old, while he’s also being tracked by teams from France and Germany.
Celtic’s recent record of bringing in some of Europe’s brightest young players has worked well in recent years so it is no surprise to see them tracking another teenage star, even though the club have recently changed their manager.
The Scottish champions have been keen to sign young players, either on loan or on permanent deals, and for the most part, they’ve had great success, with Odsonne Edouard just one example of a positive transfer.
Whether Celtic decide to make a move for Bohinen remains to be seen, but it would come as no surprise if they do.
