French media outlet L’Equipe have hailed Christopher Jullien as “the hero of Celtic” following his winning goal against Rangers on Sunday.
The Frenchman scored the only goal of the game with a finish his fellow countryman and teammate Odsonne Edouard would have been proud of, as Celtic clinched their 10th consecutive domestic trophy.
Following the win, L’Equipe praised Jullien in their review of the match.
Ex-defender of Dijon and Toulouse, in particular, Christopher Jullien was the hero of Celtic, this Sunday. He scored the only goal in the Scottish League Cup final against the rival Rangers (1-0).

It’s no surprise to see Jullien earn high praise in his homeland, and he is certainly earning a reputation as a big game player for Celtic following his contributions this season.
Another man for the big occasion is Fraser Forster, who was arguably Celtic’s biggest hero on the day following a number of important saves, including Alfredo Morelos’ penalty.
The Frenchman will no doubt be buzzing after playing such a key role in winning his first trophy with Celtic, and he will now be even more motivated to ensure the Hoops continue to be successful for the rest of the season.
