Neil Lennon has confirmed that Celtic have reached a deal with Bnei Yehuda over a move for midfielder Ismaila Soro.
Football Insider reported earlier this week that Celtic had a bid accepted by the Israeli side, and negotiations were at an “advanced” stage.
And according to BBC Sport, Lennon has now confirmed the deal and is hoping to conclude the move for Soro in the coming days, with the final “paperwork” delaying the move.
We’re just waiting on the paperwork being done. Hopefully that can be resolved over the next few days. He’s strong, technically very good, quick across the ground and hungry.

We’ve done a lot of work on him and did a lot of work on Klimala and we got him in the building. So it’s good to get a couple of players in to freshen things up a little bit.

While he will clearly not be signed in time to feature against Partick Thistle on Saturday, Lennon confirming that a deal has been agreed and the move will be concluded in the near future is a huge positive in our view.
We feel that completing the signings of both Soro and Patryk Klimala prior to the return to league action sends a statement of Celtic’s intent to the rest of the division and Rangers in particular.
Two excellent pieces of business from our point of view, and we’re hugely excited to see the pair in action, if the deal for Soro is completed.
