Youngster Karamoko Dembele continued his promising development on Monday night with an impressive performance for Celtic’s reserves, scoring the winner in a 3-2 victory.
The Hoops went ahead early on against Hearts reserves, and Dembele was heavily involved.
The 16-year-old swung a free kick in from wide for Marvin Compper to head back across goal, and Wallace Duffy rose highest to nod Celtic in front.
Compper then doubled the Hoops’ lead before a second half comeback from Hearts saw them draw level to 2-2.
Dembele won the game for Celtic in the 90th minute, however, causing trouble with an in-swinging free kick that evaded everyone in the box and found its way in off the post.

Dembele emerged as one of Celtic’s brightest youth prospects when he made his debut for the Under 20 side at just 13-years-old, against Hearts in 2016, and the youngster has also represented Scotland at youth level.

The highly rated midfielder then signed his first professional contract aged 15, and is now old enough to be included in the first team squad following his 16th birthday last month.
However with Celtic challenging for a third successive domestic treble this season, it appears Dembele may be forced to wait until pre-season to feature in the first team.
