Declan Gallagher helped Scotland reach a first major tournament since 1998 on Thursday evening.
And the Motherwell man’s display against Serbia led to many Celtic fans discussing a potential move for the 29-year-old.
Gallagher played in a back five alongside Stephen O’Donnell, Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and Andrew Robertson, with Hoops midfielders Ryan Christie and Callum McGregor also in Steve Clarke’s starting line-up.
The centre-back played the entirety, as David Marshall became a national hero by stopping Aleksandar Mitrovic’s decisive spot-kick.
It was Gallagher, though, who was on the lips of these Hoops supporters, with many open to the defender moving to Parkhead.

Current Celtic centre-back Shane Duffy received criticism after his Republic of Ireland display against England, and one Hoops fan labelled Gallagher ‘better’ than Duffy.

Gallagher turned out against Celtic prior to the international break, with the Hoops winning 4-1 at Fir Park.
Despite the result, Gallagher actually recorded a better WhoScored match rating than Kristoffer Ajer and made more tackles than Nir Bitton.
His Motherwell deal actually expires in the summer, so Celtic may see a move in the New Year as a realistic one.
