Celtic captain Scott Brown believes Celtic are well aware of the threat that Malmo pose in the Champions League play-off round.
Having knocked out Helsingborg and Elfsborg in recent years on their way to the group stages, Celtic will be hoping it’s not third time unlucky against Swedish opposition.
Speaking shortly after the draw was made, via the Daily Record, Brown said: “They beat Salzburg and we all know how good a team they are from last season, so we certainly can’t underestimate them.”
“We will know what to expect and Stefan (Johansen) and Mika (Mikael Lustig) will be aware of what they are all about as well, so that will help us, and the gaffer will watch them before the match.”
“It will definitely be a hard game, but hopefully we can get a good result at Celtic Park.”
“It will help that we know a bit more about them and hopefully the weather won’t be as warm as well! They will be a good European team and we will know a lot more about them as the game draws closer.”
“We have managed to keep a clean sheet against a good team like Qarabag after winning at home 1-0 so that should give us confidence.”
“As always, the fans help us so much and it would be great if they could get right behind us again by turning out in big numbers at Celtic Park.”
