With his first chance to avenge for last year’s controversial exit from the Scottish Cup, Ronny Deila is preparing for a win at all costs game against Stranraer.
The Norwegian has come under increasing pressure from fans to deliver entertaining football, however, a win is all that matters in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Failure to do so will lead to another year without a domestic treble and compounded with European struggles, fans will only protest their anger further.
Sunday’s trip to Stranraer will be a tricky test with the surface not expected to be the slick surfaces the Bhoys are use to in the top tier.
Deila has admitted he doesn’t care how Celtic win, just that they leave Stair Park with a victory and advance to the next round.
As quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times, the 40-year-old said:
I don’t care how we win, only that we do. It is a difficult game and I think it is always very tough to play a team in a lower division in a cup competition, all the more so when it is away from home.
All that matters is that we win the game and get through the tie. No-one remembers a performance, only the result.

So if we scrape through, I don’t care. It is about making sure we win the game, that is all.
Some of it comes down to attitude and to preparation and we will treat them with respect, that is for sure. We are going to do everything that we can to be ready.
This is a cup final for Stranraer and it is up to us to be professional and ensure that our approach is the correct one.
Deila’s team selection for the Cup game will also be under close scrutiny from some fans, however the result at the end of the day, is all that will matter.
The game will kick-off this Sunday (January 10th) at 3.15pm, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports One.
