Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton has been sent home by Israel’s national team for disciplinary reasons.
Israeli outlet Sports Walla say he refused to train and made faces at the coaches and was told to leave the squad as a result.
It is understood he has been banished from the squad permanently and won’t play again under the current manager as a result of his actions.
The news was first reported by Raphael Gellar, the BBC’s Israeli football correspondent earlier this morning.

The 25-year-old has struggled to get into the Celtic team in recent weeks and has been dropped to the bench by Brendan Rodgers in favour of Stuart Armstrong.
The 24-year-old joined Celtic in August 2013 from FC Ashdod and made his debut in a substitute appearance away to AC Milan in the Champions League.
Although he has struggled this season, Bitton has grown in leaps and bounds as a player since signing, and has gone on to make 125 appearances for the Hoops – scoring 11 goals in that period – including some stunning long range efforts.
He had also become a regular in his national side and wore the captain’s armband earlier this year against Croatia until the incident.
