Player ratings: Celtic 3-0 Albion Rovers

Scott Sinclair’s stunning first-half strike set up a last-16 tie at home to Inverness CT next month.

The Hoops dominated proceedings but rarely opened up the League One side in the game which was settled on 77 minutes by Moussa Dembele’s close range goal.

Sinclair curled a stunning effort from inside the box that looped into the top right corner to give Celtic the lead on 30 minutes.

He almost double his tally for the afternoon but found himself just offside from Mikael Lustig’s wonderfully weighted pass in behind the defence.

James Forrest had a great chance to double Celtic’s lead after Sinclair made a great run around the man and along the byline.

Patrick Roberts did really well to evade two defenders and picked out Brown, who found Dembele for his 20th goal of the season.

Stuart Armstrong continued his impressive run with another goal in the 89th minute.

Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths are both still recovering from injuries they sustained prior to Christmas, and Griffiths took to Twitter to say he will be ready for Wednesday’s game against St Johnstone.
