Celtic could secure their place in the Europa League after Christmas when they face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
A draw in France in the penultimate Champions League group stage game could guarantee the Scottish sides place in European football beyond Christmas, but PSG will also be out to secure top spot in Group B.
The odds of securing a result will be stacked heavily against Brendan Rodgers’ side after the Parisian side hammered them 5-0 the last time the two sides met in September at Celtic Park.
Both sides won their domestic games at the weekend and remain top of their domestic leagues, as Celtic beat Ross County 1-0, while Unai Emery’s side beat Nates 4-1.

Jozo Simunovic was on the bench at the weekend having recovered from a hamstring injury and may return to the starting line up if Rodgers deems him fit enough to play.
Patrick Roberts travelled to Paris and is building up fitness as he recovers from a hamstring injury of his own and could return to the squad.
Erik Sviatchenko is fully fit but has yet to return to the squad and has fallen down the pecking order behind Nir Bitton in the heart of the defence.
Anthony Ralston remains out with a knee problem that has kept him out of action since the end of September.
Paris Saint-Germain
Thomas Meunier missed Saturday’s game through injury and the right-back will return to the squad, but midfielder Thiago Motta is out for the foreseeable future with a knee injury.
Central defender Presnel Kimpembe missed Saturday’s win through suspension and is available again for the midweek clash.
Kylian Mbappe was an unused sub at the weekend as Emery rotated the squad to give the teenage sensation time to recover after 12 consecutive starts for the club.
