Lustig gives damming verdict on Rangers after ‘easy’ Celtic win
Mikael Lustig says Rangers made life easy for Celtic during their Scottish Cup semi-final victory on Sunday.
As reported by the Glasgow Evening Times, the Hoops secured their place in the final thanks to a 4-0 victory and Lustig couldn’t help but take a little dig at the club’s rivals.
They didn’t press us, they didn’t make it hard for us. It maybe sounds a bit cheeky but it felt quite easy. Obviously there was a lot of talk. But we stay calm, we’re humble and we do our talking on the pitch and we’ve won again.
Two first-half goals from Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor put Celtic in the ascendancy at Hampden Park.
Moussa Dembele scored Celtic’s third with a cheeky penalty before Ntcham made it four with the Hoops’ second spot kick.
Can Celtic win the treble?
Yes
No
The victory means that Brendan Rodgers men will now meet Motherwell in the final as they look to secure back-to-back domestic trebles.
The win will put a spring in the steps of the Celtic team, who can also win the Scottish Premiership with another three points in the league.
