Brendan Rodgers believes James Forrest can find greatness as a Celtic player, saying he could become one of the “most decorated” Hoops of all time.
Forrest is in a rich vein of form at the moment, scoring a hat-trick for Scotland in their 3-2 win over Israel on Tuesday and netting twice against Albania last weekend.
The 27-year-old has achieved great things at Celtic since his debut back in 2010, winning seven Scottish Premiership titles and making 312 appearances.
Speaking to reporters, Rodgers has lauded his attacking star, tipping him to go down as one of the club’s true greats, in terms of success:

I think because of James’s personality, he just drifts along really, but he’s one of these players who people will say, ‘b—– h—, look what he’s won and look how many games he’s played’.
He could end up one of the most decorated Celtic players of all time. He’s already in the top 10 in terms of trophies and he’s got more to win.
He’s enjoying this moment and he’s so deserving of it because he’s a very under-rated player for me.
He’s got a style that’s a little bit languid at times but think about how quickly he had to break up the pitch to get the second goal for Scotland.
He’s a brilliant asset for the club and he really is a joy to watch.

The form of Forrest has been key to Celtic’s recent resurgence in the league, with the champions slowly returning to the Premiership’s summit.
The Hoops return to action with a trip to Hamilton on Saturday lunchtime, hoping to pull away from Hearts and Rangers.
