Celtic fans will fondly remember Scott McDonald, and the Australian has revealed his prediction for what he thinks might be in store for Scott Brown’s immediate future.
The captain is drawing on in years now, and some have speculated how much longer might be left in those experienced legs.
Out of contract at the end of the season, Brown has reportedly been offered the chance to join Western Melbourne of the A-League.

Quoted by BBC Sport, his old colleague McDonald said:
There’s no question that this is the real deal, this offer he’s got from Melbourne,
Now that this team’s been accepted into the league, I know a couple of people who are involved and they’re dead set. They’re desperate to get him over there.
They see his leadership qualities. They’ve seen what he’s done for Celtic Football Club.
Do I see Scott making an impact there? Most definitely. I still think he’s got enough in the tank. It’s not going to be what probably he thinks it’s going to be. It’s fast-paced out there if he does go.
Asked if he would go however, McDonald said:
I wouldn’t put it past him to stay.
