Celtic continue on their quest for European qualification and face Estonian champions Nõmme Kalju in the Champions League second qualifying round first-leg this Wednesday.
The Hoops’ intense schedule means they are already set to play their third competitive game before the domestic season even kicks off.
Neil Lennon’s side prevailed over FK Sarajevo 5-2 on aggregate in round one. Though unlike the first-round, The Scottish champions will play the first-leg against Kalju in front of a home crowd.
This will give the team a chance to put in a good performance along with an important result to take over to Estonia.
Wednesday’s opponents are currently 20 games into their domestic season and, despite securing the league title last season, Kalju sit fourth in the Meistriliiga; 12 points behind leaders Flora.
This is a match Celtic will be determined to get done and dusted. In an ideal world, the hard work will be achieved in the first-leg so that the pressure is taken off slightly for next week’s tie.
Here is our Celtic predicted XI.
