Celtic youngster Jeremie Frimpong has revealed that he is looking forward to his future at the club.
The teenage right-back joined the Hoops from Premier League champions Manchester City during the summer transfer window and has made one start so far.
That came in the League Cup victory over Partick Thistle, where Frimpong was named as Man of the Match.
When speaking about future opportunities to play for Celtic’s official magazine, he said:
Right now I’m just trying to train as hard as I can to earn another opportunity in the first team. I know I’m going to have to be patient because there are a lot of quality players in the team and I’m still young.
But the manager has shown faith in me and that means a lot. I know I’m at the perfect club that will give me the chance to fulfil my potential.
I’ve always just wanted to get to first-team football as quickly as possible, so that’s been the only thing I’ve focused on in my life. Everything else either isn’t that important or it can wait.

Frimpong will need to be patient because at the moment, Neil Lennon has Moritz Bauer and Hatem Abd Elhamed to choose from for the right-back position.
His quality is there for all to see and through his words, it’s clear that he is a very motivated young man.
His mentality also seems spot-on for a professional footballer as he always emphasises the need to work hard in training and earn the opportunity, rather than just being handed it on a plate.
One thing is sure, Frimpong has a very bright future at the club.
