Neil Lennon believes Celtic’s first-half display against Aberdeen was one of the best he’s seen as Hoops boss, and it’s difficult to disagree with him.
Speaking after Celtic’s 4-0 demolition of the Dons at Pittodrie, Lennon was full of praise for his side for their excellent first-half performance on Sunday, especially after their efforts against Lazio in midweek.

It’s certainly hard to disagree with Lennon, with Celtic producing such a strong performance off the back of Thursday’s dramatic win over Lazio.
The Hoops came flying out of the blocks at Pittodrie, with Odsonne Edouard continuing his excellent start to the season with the opening goal, before Jeremie Frimpong added a second on 15 minutes.
James Forrest completed a wonderful team goal to add a third and silence his recent critics, before Mohamed Elyounoussi made it four on the stroke of half-time.
Aberdeen had absolutely no answer for Celtic’s firepower in the opening 45 minutes, and the home side showed very little in the way of threatening a comeback in the second-half.
