Celtic grabbed an incredibly dramatic victory in Rome to seal qualification to last 32 of the Europa League thanks to a last-gasp Olivier Ntcham winner.
An early Ciro Immobile opener was cancelled out by James Forrest on the stroke of half-time before Hoops won it in the fifth minute of injury time.
Neil Lennon’s side started poorly and were pretty passive in the opening exchanges.
It didn’t take long for the hosts to punish Celtic as Manuel Lazzari’s cross picked out Immobile who turned the ball home on the volley.
When the visitors did see the ball, they couldn’t keep it for long with some sloppy passing but despite this, they did manage to draw level before the break.
Mohamed Elyounoussi’s pass was missed by Francesco Acerbi allowing Forrest in to fire home from the angle.
Straight after this, the Italians should have been back in front with three great chances.
Firstly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic saw his header well saved before Jullien had to hook one off the line.
Moments later, Marco Parolo really should have found the net but his header flew over.
The second 45 saw a much improved start from Celtic as they pressed the game with great energy and kept the ball well.
Lazio did find some chances with Immobile always looking dangerous but it was Acerbi’s close range header that needed saving by Fraser Forster.
With 15 minutes remaining, Odsonne Edouard missed a golden chance as he broke into the box and could only side-foot just wide of the post.
Forster was soon called into action again as he got fingertips into Immobile’s curling effort before Milinkovic-Savic struck one that flew close.
Celtic were successfully hanging on for a valuable point until Acerbi’s dreadful pass straight to Edouard.
The Frenchman drove towards goal before finding his fellow countryman, Ntcham, who took a heavy touch but delightfully chipped the ball over Thomas Strakosha to create sheer chaos in the away end.
Here’s how we rated the players after an incredible win for Celtic.
