Celtic fans don't want the club to let Gordon leave this week

Celtic have opened talks with fellow Scottish Premiership side Hearts regarding goalkeeper Craig Gordon, according to a report on BBC Sport, and Celtic fans don’t want to see him go.

The 37-year-old’s current deal with the Hoops expires at the end of the season and he has been given limited playing time this season.

The Scottish international has made six appearances in all competitions this season, with none coming in the league (Transfermarkt).

As stated in the report, Gordon is keen to get more playing time and is open to returning to his former club.

Many Celtic fans have taken to social media to respond to the news and many feel that it could be a big mistake if the club let Gordon leave this week.

Scott Bain has been out of action for several months with an injury and the Hoops also loaned out Conor Hazard to Dundee FC, meaning Gordon may be needed if anything happens to first-choice shot-stopper Fraser Forster.
