Celtic midfielder and captain Scott Brown has returned to training ahead of the UEFA Europa League last 32 second leg clash against FC Copenhagen.
As reported on the Daily Record, the Scottish midfielder participated in training on Wednesday morning.
The Celtic skipper limped off during the first leg after 73 minutes and was replaced by Nir Bitton.
However, Brown now appears to be in contention to be back for Thursday night’s encounter at Celtic Park.
READ CELTIC VERDICT
Brown’s passion, hunger and determination in the middle of the pitch is vital for Celtic, in our opinion.
This is proven by the fact that in the first leg, the midfielder made two clearances, one interception and had an 87.5% pass accuracy (WhoScored).
Tom Rogic came in for the injured Brown during the Scottish Premiership victory over Kilmarnock last weekend but we expect Brown to come straight back into the starting XI for this crucial European clash, should he be fully fit.
Brown also has plenty of experience, which Celtic could require in abundance.
The 34-year-old has played 562 times for Celtic (Transfermarkt), which is why we feel in a match of such importance, having him as a starter could be crucial.
