After being credited with an interest in the summer (football.london), Celtic were once again linked with Big Vic in the January window alongside the likes of Lazio and Galatasaray (The Mirror).

However, following his move to the MLS, Wanyama is unlikely to be touted with a possible return to Celtic Park in the near future.

Some fans may be frustrated to see Celtic miss out on re-signing him, after a number of supporters voiced their discontent when a deadline day move failed to materialise.

However, I’ve identified four players who could benefit next season from Wanyama moving to the MLS and essentially ruling out a summer move to Celtic.
