Tony Hamilton’s glorious picture of Celtic Park has sparked a reaction from a number of Hoops supporters on social media.
The Celtic Foundation chief executive uploaded a photo of the stadium earlier this week when he went to the ground, and it appears as though the ground staff are doing an excellent job of keeping the pitch in good condition, in the absence of football.
Neil Lennon’s men last took to the pitch one month ago this weekend, with Leigh Griffiths’ hat-trick in the 5-0 demotion of St Mirren feeling like an eternity ago rather than a mere four weeks.
The rest of the 2019/20 campaign is now up in the air following the postponement of football until further notice, and Lennon confirmed on BBC 5 Live earlier this week that a number of players had returned home for the time being.
But as mentioned, the pitch appears to still be in excellent condition judging from Hamilton’s photo, and a number of Celtic fans have shared their reactions to seeing the stadium once again.
