Celtic were recently linked with a move for Leeds United left-back Barry Douglas in the Daily Mail, but Marcelo Bielsa has ruled an imminent departure for the veteran.
During his pre-match press conference ahead of Leeds’ Premier League clash with Sheffield United, Bielsa was questioned about the future of the 31-year-old who had been linked with a move north of the border.
As reported by Leeds Live, the Argentine manager said:
I give you the same answer as I gave you with Gotts, but added to the fact he (Douglas) has played many times for the first team. If he continues with us he will be a very useful player for our project.
The Leeds boss went on to say:
He’s an impeccable professional. His preparation has been very, very good. He is an integral part of the group here. Just because he hasn’t been part of the 18 in the first two games it doesn’t mean he won’t be useful across the season.

This could potentially be bad news for Neil Lennonm who may have been targeting a move for the Scotsman to solve his ongoing left-back dilemma.
Following the departure of Boli Bolingoli, Lennon has been left with Greg Taylor as his only senior and available natural left-sided defender, so a move for Douglas could have made sense.
