Tom Rogic is a real fan favourite at Celtic Park.

The midfielder joined the club during Neil Lennon’s first stint in charge at Parkhed back in 2013.

The Australian made the long move from Central Coast Mariners in his homeland in a deal which, at the time, reportedly set Celtic back £400,000.

However, former Celtic scout John Park has told The Scottish Sun that Rogic actually cost the club 400,000 Australian dollars, which converted to £220,000 at the time.

Yes, the Hoops actually paid just £220,000 for the player, who has gone on to win 14 major honours with the club over the last seven years.

At £400,000, Rogic seemed a steal, so the actual £220,000 fee has made that transfer even sweeter and possibly one of Celtic’s best buys over the last 10 years.

Is Rogic Celtic's best buy over the last 10 years?

Rogic has provided four assists in his last two starts. The 27-year-old set up Callum McGregor and Leigh Griffiths in the 3-3 draw at Aberdeen before teeing up Ryan Christie and Mohamed Elyounoussi against the Dons in the Scottish Cup semi-final last weekend.

Hopefully he can now kick on and enjoy a run of games under Lennon after appearing to shake off the injury which kept him out of action at the beginning of the campaign.
