Kevin Campbell has heaped praise upon ex-Huddersfield and Brighton midfielder Aaron Mooy, with the Australia international linked with a Celtic move.
The experienced midfielder, 30, has two years remaining on his current deal with Chinese Super League side Shanghai Port and has been linked with a Parkhead switch in his home country.
Australian outlet The World Game have claimed that there is talk in China that Celtic could be readying an approach for the 46-cap Australia enforcer.
Campbell endorsed Mooy’s abilities as he spoke to Football Insider but felt that Postecoglou’s appointment was dubious.
“I’m not so sure about Postecoglou going in there, let alone who he’s going to sign”, claimed Campbell.
“It is either going to go brilliantly or end in tears I think.
“Aaron Mooy is a very good player, a technical player. He can take the game by the scruff of the neck and there aren’t an abundance of game-changers out there.
“We are going to have to wait and see what he can do if he gets signed.
“I have spoke to Celtic fans and they are not convinced by Postecoglou’s appointment.”

As an experienced option familiar with Postecoglou’s style of play, a Mooy move would represent an intelligent transfer.
Mooy, who boasts plentiful Premier League experience, can feature anywhere within the midfield -rendering him as a versatile option able to suit a number of tactical configurations.
Interestingly, Mooy is also no stranger to the Premiership. He featured for St Mirren between 2010 and 2012 towards the start of his career, having progressed through the youth ranks at Bolton.
In that sense, Mooy would add technical panache to the beating heart of the Bhoys’ midfield and could be a flagship Postecoglou signing.
