I regularly joke on this site about ranting into the void…
But over the course of this summer, I didn’t expect that my constant joke would become a reality.
When I look at Celtic at this moment, all I see is a deep, dark void.
A pit of nothingness.
And yes, I rant into it, almost every day now.
In the vain hope that the void might eventually be filled by something really newsworthy.
Yet day after day, we hear nothing but the Sound of Silence from Celtic Park.
Of course, had we the ability to question the men in charge of the club we love, there’s no doubt they’d tell us they’re being very busy and proactive behind the scenes.
It’s what they’ve always told us.
And we know what that usually translates into…
A whole lot of nothingness.
A void.
I know I joke about Silent Mike’s world class coffee machine doing the hard yards.
I poke fun at the club’s archaic communication skills by referencing the fax machine in Silent Mike’s office at Celtic Park.

Above is an illustration of why you always see a lot of Zzzzzzzzzzz’s in my articles too.
But here’s the thing, it would appear, in reality, that I’m being generous when it comes to their communication skills.
Because in reality, they actually have none.
Their biggest skill set is lying.
Better engagement?
F*** that, we’ll just make it worse and they won’t even notice.
Development of supporter engagement structures?
F*** that too.
We’ll just tell them we’re going to create this and then they’ll forget about it.
Because we’ve conditioned them to accept that all we do is lie, so that’s all they expect anyway.
Instead we’ll just give them a void to rant into.
No communication out of Celtic Park and no plan for the season ahead.
No discernible strategy.
Well, maybe there is, but we’ll never know about it.
And even if there was, they wouldn’t share it with us because it probably reeks of amateur hour, and they know it.
They just point blank refuse to communicate.
There are little to no stories in the media.
If I was being a conspiracy theorist, you’d almost feel as if there was a campaign to stifle fan media?
See, there I go again, ranting into the void.
Because that’s what I’m reduced to.
I’m reduced to making up funny stories about Silent Mike, his world class coffee machine, and the infamous fax machine.
Then I talk about the absent meddling golfer, miles away from Celtic Park basking in the Barbados sun.

Drawing up potential management hires on a beer mat.
While puffing away on his big cigar.
This is what the void produces.
This is my ranting into the void.
Speculation that makes this board look like a bunch of amateurs, who really don’t have the slightest clue of what they’re supposed to be doing.
If you don’t want to give us anything positive to write about off one of the most contentious seasons in our club’s modern history, then what do you expect?
There is literally nothing positive to say about Celtic now.

See the cardboard cut outs of Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay in that picture?
Well, they may as well be that.
Because that’s how effective they are in their positions.
If the board wants to turn off the communication tap completely, then things will only get worse.
Starving fan media of anything to report does not benefit the Celtic board, it just ends up with them being made to look more inept than they already are.
So ranting into the void it will continue to be from me.
Until these clowns actually give me something positive to talk about.
Ineptitude seems to be on tap at Celtic Park at the moment.
Wait a minute, was that Nicholson’s fax machine I heard firing up in the office?
Is the absent meddling golfer making contact?
Nah, I didn’t think so.
It’s his world class coffee machine doing the hard yards.
Just about keeping him awake.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz….

No such lack of content from those loyal scoops at the daily Record at the unveiling of the ‘man with a tan ‘ Del Billy Boy McInnes today in Ibroxland ! The rag tabloid had 4 sport scoops covering the latest coacher person in Govanlandia at his opening moist presser …4 of them ! They might be the only 4 who missed out on the freebie World Cup gig in the US mind you from the paper ? I’m just surprised that big Inaction and wee Scotty did not jet in from Miami Beach ..attend the presser and fly back out again without missing a Hotline Live beat ? Cold beer waiting on tap ! That newspaper definitely has money to burn going by the amount of Sport Scoops it has at the WC . Unlimited credit …..
