Why Celtic’s Potential New-Look Forward Line Should Excite Every Supporter

A potential Celtic forward line of Camilo Durán, Kasper Høgh, Callum Osmand, Haissem Hassan and, eventually, a fully fit Jota is enough to get any supporter dreaming. Nothing is guaranteed in football, and transfers still have to be completed, but the prospect alone is an exciting one.

For much of this summer, supporters have been frustrated by the club’s lack of attacking additions. However, if Celtic can pull together this group of forwards, the mood around the club could change very quickly.

A BLEND OF YOUTH, PACE AND POWER

Camilo Durán has already shown flashes of the confidence and direct running that Celtic supporters love to see. He looks like the type of player who wants to take responsibility and attack defenders.

If Kasper Høgh were to arrive, he could provide something Celtic have lacked at times. His physical presence would give the team another dimension and a different way to hurt opponents. Not every match is won with intricate football, and having a striker capable of occupying defenders is invaluable.

Callum Osmand also represents an exciting prospect. Young, ambitious and eager to prove himself, he would add further competition to the squad while giving supporters another player to develop alongside the club.

Haissem Hassan could bring genuine flair. His pace, dribbling ability and willingness to run at defenders would make Celtic even more dangerous in wide areas and create space for those around him.

JOTA COULD BE THE FINAL PIECE

Then there is Jota.

When he eventually returns to full fitness, Celtic will welcome back one of the most gifted attacking players seen at the club in recent years. His creativity, movement and eye for goal have been been sorely missed.

Just imagine the options available. Durán stretching defences, Høgh leading the line, Hassan providing width, Osmand developing into the first-team picture and Jota knitting everything together with his quality.

Of course, this remains speculation. Football rarely follows the perfect script, and plenty still has to happen before supporters see anything close to this attacking unit.

Even so, there is nothing wrong with a little optimism. If Celtic can build anything close to this forward line, supporters could have every reason to believe that some thrilling football lies ahead this season.
