The Sun states that Joel Kim is a Korean football expert.
I guess that must make me a Scottish football expert.
Why?
Because Kim has a similar following on X to the Read Celtic X, so I reckon that must be enough to make you a football expert?
Well, I suppose if the Sun says so, then that must be the case?
The Korean footie expert appeared as a guest on The 4th Official YouTube channel and was quizzed on the starlet’s skillset and comparisons to Yang.
While he was full of praise for the Hoops wide man, he highlighted the new Light Blues star has a much higher ceiling.
He said: Don’t get me wrong, I like Yang.
I think he’s a great player.
And my policy is that I support every team with a Korean player in it!“His strength is his explosiveness 1v1, he’s very fast and the reality is that Yang is just more developed that Kim Min-su.
He’s 24 going on 25 and the full version of him is there. So in some ways the comparison isn’t there as Kim is four years younger. That’s quite a lot.
He’s still a prospect but what makes him so special and what makes him worth ten million euros is the raw talent and ability he brings.
He’s a creator, very technical and has great pace.
I don’t want to be foolish and say he’s faster than Yang but I think by the time he’s 24 and hitting his prime he will be. He’s got unbelievable pace, unbelievable speed. It just leaps out when you watch him play.
He just moves at a speed different to everyone else. Come Yang’s age, I think he’ll overshadow him.
I think he’s a better scorer, even now. Yang is decent but Kim Min-su in my opinion has a better end product.
Right, there’s a lot to unpack there.
But at no point does Kim focus on the stats between the two players.
Andorra, a mid to lower table side in the Spanish Segunda division, is not a proving ground for a player who is soliciting the kind of praise Joel Kim is showering on Kim Min-su.
Tonight, Yang will be lining out for Celtic in the Champions League.

Just by saying he’s an expert doesn’t make him an expert.

I wonder how Joel Kim got to watch a lot of Andorra FC in the Spanish Segunda division last season to be able to come up with such a broad statement?
Anyway, he’s already been sucked in by the klanbase, so that tells you all you need to know about him.
I know I’ve been the target of a lot of #CelticsFC folks in my coverage/enthusiasm for Kim, but I just need to remind I also support/love Yang very much and I will continue to support all teams with Korean players and that includes Celtic.
