Celtic Set To Bolster Strikeforce Again As Haissem Hassan Deal Nears Completion

Celtic are reportedly set to bolster their strikeforce again as a deal for Haissem Hassan moves closer to completion.
The Egyptian international has reportedly accepted a four-year contract offer from Celtic. Real Oviedo are also said to be prepared to approve the transfer once the remaining bonus structure has been agreed.
Nothing is official until the contracts are signed. However, the latest reports suggest Celtic are now in a strong position to bring the 24-year-old winger to Glasgow.
Celtic Closing In On Haissem Hassan
Hassan is a naturally left-footed attacker who usually operates from the right wing. He is known for his pace, direct running and ability to attack defenders in one-on-one situations.
He joined Real Oviedo in 2024 after previous spells with Châteauroux, Villarreal, Mirandés and Sporting Gijón.
During the 2024/25 campaign, Hassan made 43 league appearances for Oviedo. He scored four goals and supplied three assists as the Spanish club secured promotion.
He then featured regularly in La Liga and reportedly attracted interest from other European clubs following his performances for Egypt on the international stage.
Another Attacking Option For Martin O’Neill
Hassan would give Martin O’Neill another exciting option across the Celtic attack.
He can carry the ball forward, stretch opposition defences and cut inside onto his stronger left foot. That profile could add a different dimension to a squad already being strengthened ahead of the new season.
Camilo Durán has made an immediate impact during pre-season, while Celtic are also working to complete the signing of striker Kasper Høgh.
If Hassan joins them, Celtic would suddenly have several fresh attacking options available before the Premiership campaign begins.
Celtic Transfer Business Gathering Momentum
Supporters have been frustrated by the time Celtic have taken to complete deals this summer. The squad clearly required significant investment, and those reinforcements should have arrived much earlier.
However, credit must be given when the club pursues players capable of improving the starting eleven.
Hassan is entering an important stage of his career and already has experience in French and Spanish football. His international breakthrough with Egypt has only increased his reputation.
Celtic must now finish the negotiations and get the deal over the line.
Should Hassan arrive alongside Høgh, the mood surrounding Celtic’s transfer window could finally begin to change.
Some quality signings, but unless we significantly strengthen our midfield it will be futile as they won’t receive the required service. Our current options minus Engels fill me with dread.
