Former Celtic player Johan Mjallby has criticised Saidy Janko’s performance in Israel last night.
The Hoops edged past Hapoel Be’er Sheva over the two legs to progress to the group stages of the Champions League for the first time in three years.
Janko gave away a penalty early on, which, although was outside the box, set the tone for the defenders night.
Speaking on BT Sport as a pundit after the game, he said:
It was a wise move from Brendan Rodgers to change to a back three. Saidy Janko was struggling big-time in the back four because he can’t defend.
So they really need to look at that. If you play the game, you know the tactics well enough.
It shouldn’t be a problem at all, just so long as you communicate with the players beside you and those in front of you.

It was a performance to forget for the young Swiss right-back who struggled all night long in the Be’er Sheva humidity.
After signing last summer from Manchester United for a development fee, the 20-year-old started the season brightly but was out with a serious knee early from October.
The former Celtic defender and Swedish international, Mjallby, played at Paradise for six years, and was part of some memorable moments in Europe wearing the green and white Hoops.
Celtic will be in Pot Four for tomorrow’s draw for the Champions League group stages, which start at 5pm.
