Emilio Izaguirre is wanted by a Championship side as they look to bolster their defensive options in order to push for promotion to the Premier League.
Izaguirre currently has just under a year remaining on his current contract and has been limited to just one start under Brendan Rodgers against Motherwell.
The 30-year-old Honduran international was thought to be leaving Celtic in the summer after what seemed like an emotional farewell away to St Johnstone and at Paradise against Motherwell in May.
According to the Daily Express, Brighton and Hove Albion are keen to acquire the left back’s services before the window closes at the end of the month.

Celtic did receive and offer for Izaguirre in the January transfer window from Getafe, however, it didn’t meet their valuation of the 30-year-old.
Since he joined in 2010, Izaguirre has made 236 appearances in the green and white Hoops, scoring five goals and providing 45 assists.
His performances when he first arrived led to him being named the SFA Players’ Player of the Year due to his outstanding performances for Celtic.
The emergence of Kieran Tierney from the youth squad has seen Izaguirre’s chances limited, and could move away from Paradise before the window closes next week to get regular first-team football.
