Celtic gaffer Brendan Rodgers has hailed his side’s superb performance against English Premier League leaders Manchester City, as well as highlighting the important contribution of the Celtic fans.
The Hoops boss was wary of the imposing threat Pep Guardiola’s team carried, but sang the praises of his own side after an enthralling game.

After the 3-3 draw at Paradise, Rodgers was only concentrating on the positive aspects of the match given the disparity between the two teams financially and in terms of player quality.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, he said:
Manchester City have travelled around the English Premier League and absolutely destroyed teams. Everyone has seen it, hence the reason why it was said this was going to be a hugely difficult game for us.
There should be a huge pat on the back for Glasgow Celtic, for the club, the atmosphere and the performance of the players.
They have been relentless in their working and to come and virtually out-press Manchester City and be that aggressive is worthy of respect.
He continued on to speak highly of youngsters Kieran Tierney and Moussa Dembele, who both played a crucial role in the outcome of the game.
He (Dembele) was terrific tonight, but he’s been like that since he came to the club. He showed he has a wonderful touch and agility for the third goal. Overall, he showed his power and pace. He is a huge talent and had an outstanding game tonight.
Kieran was set up to get forward but was also up against one of the best players in the Premier League in Raheem Sterling. He (Tierney) is a good young player who is in a real good place and is developing well.
A fine performance from both youngsters indeed, which goes to show the quality this Celtic side currently boast.
The draw means Celtic move up to third place after Barcelona came from behind to beat German side Monchengladbach in the other game in Group C.
Rodgers and Celtic will turn their attention back to the league once again and will look to build upon their 6-1 win over Kilmarnock and this performance when they face Dundee on Saturday afternoon.
